This documentary was made in 1973, no doubt shortly after Bruce Lee's death. Most documentaries have footage as well as interviews with friend and families. The interviews are always the best as you hear stories about Bruce from those who knew him. In BRUCE LEE THE MAN, THE LEGEND there are no interviews. Well, maybe like two short ones from the guy Bruce trained with in his early days in Hong Kong. So basically you sit through 85 minutes of old footage of Bruce from his movies, his HK home, and his funerals. The HK funeral and the Seattle funeral seem to take up too much time. They even get a couple shots of Bruce lying the casket. At the HK funeral you spot a few famous faces like Nora Miao, Sammo Hung, Shek Kin, George Lazenby, Carter Huang, and Lo Wei. Although, the only one that gets pointed out by the narrator is George Lazenby. The HK funeral footage runs waaay too long, but the Seattle stuff isn't quite as long. I think both segments couldn't have been seriously cut for time as it just seems so cheap. The rest of the documentary is pretty uninteresting except for one scene of some of Bruce's storyboards for an idea of his. These are shown while they are narrated by Bruce himself. That's the best part and only lasts like five minutes. Most other documentaries have the same info and shots, but are more in depth. Only get this one is you are a Bruce Lee completist or if it's really (really) cheap.
