I have to admit of all the Bruceploitation films this movie is one of my favorites. Not because it is good, but because it is so bad. The premise is pure genius, it just lacks something in the delivery. It has a good story, funny characters, cheesy martial arts action, and gratitious nudity. What more do you want? I highly recommend watching this movie, if you do you'll never forget it, even if you try. Check out some pictures from the movie that I "borrowed".
After the death of Bruce Lee, Mr. Collin of the Special Bureau of Investigations (SBI) contacts the Professor, a scientist, to make clones of Bruce Lee. The Professor creates three clones and names them Bruce Lee 1, Bruce Lee 2, and Bruce Lee 3. Original or what? The Professor progams to clones to follow his intructions by putting a metal mixing on their heads. It makes sense when you think about it.
Even though Bruce Lee is a martial arts master and the clones would have his abilities the Bruce Lees undergo rigorous martial arts training by Bolo Yeung and some other guys, then they are sent out on missions for the SBI.
BL1 goees after a gold smuggling movie producer, Chi Lo. To does this he goes undercover as a actor at the movie studio. I thought he was clone of Bruce Lee, so why doesn't anyone recognize him? But Chi Lo doesn't trust the new guy, so he sends some guys to take him out and of course BL1 kicks their asses. BL1 hears Chi Lo and the Director talking about the gold smuggling operation and their plan to kill BL1 in front of the camera, so they can cash in on his death. When the time comes BL1 is ready and beats everybody up and kills Chi Lo. A job well done.
Meanwhile BL2 and BL3 are sent after to Thailand to take out Dr Nye, a madman who wants to take over the world a secret formula that destroys all plant life. BL1 and BL2 meet up with Chuck a SBI agent who also happens to look like Bruce Lee. Chucks and BL2 head to a beach where there are all these naked chicks running around. The camera holds a shot of a chick rubbing sunscreen on her breast for like two minutes. Does this nudity help further the plot? Hell no, but it's good stuff anyway. The three of the them track down Dr Nye and after beating up a bunch of his henchmen, Dr Nye escapes. Dr Nye creates the metal men to combat the Lees. Now the metal men are guys painted gold in diapers. After fighting the metal men BL3 discovers that by stuffing weeds in their mouths the metal men can be killed. After defeating the metal men, Dr Nye is no problem.
Now the Professor isn't any scientist, he's a mad scientist! The Professor orders the clones to fight to the death, he only wants the best Bruce Lee. The Lees start fighting one another, but are saved the compassionate nurses, Nancy and Cathy employed by the Professor. They destroy the device by which the Professor controls the Lees, and go call Mr. Collin for help. Now free the Lees set off after the Professor, but first they have to get past Bolo and the teachers who instructed them in kung fu, but of course the BLs take them out. BL3 gets too close to the Professor who kills BL3 with some red lights, I mean lasers. BL2 smashes through the wall and has to contend with one more henchmen giving the Professor time to make his escape. The Professor makes a run for it and runs straight into the waiting arms of the SBI. Busted!
