This movie is not too bad, it's better than the usual boring kung fu stuff. The story, if you want to call it that, is paced well and doesn't have too many slow parts. The fighting is a bit better than average too. The movie is so good I could probably watch it a second time.
The film starts off with the Tiger (Li) visiting Bruce Lee on the set of his movie. Bruce tells Tiger that he has been getting mysterious phone calls. Bruce also tells Tiger that if anything were to happen to him Tiger would be his successor. Tiger returns home to Singapore and hears of the death of Bruce Lee. Being a good friend of Bruce's, Tiger heads back to Hong Kong for search for answers.
In HK Tiger hooks up his friend George who is a reporter. Bruce died at Susie Young's apartment and George hears she is at the hospital, but no one is permitted to see her. Tiger tells a guard he is really Bruce Lee and his death was a publicity stunt, and he gets in to see Susie. Susie is getting roughed up by this Lung Fei guy, who is looking for a mysterious tape, who takes off when Tiger shows up. Tiger tracks him down to a bar, but before he can grab him Tiger is mobbed by chicks who think he's Bruce Lee. Tiger fights some guys in an industrial district and runs around on oil drums. While Bruce is away George gets beat up by some thugs who tell him to mind his own business.
Tiger goes to Lung Fei's house and starts bustin' heads. The bad guys lure him an old abandoned warehouse. Unfortunately Tiger gets his ass kicked royally. The bad guys take a blow torch to his back and bust out the BBQ sauce. While Tiger is recuperating Susie gets kidnapped by Lung Fei.
Tiger disguises himself as an old man selling newspapers. He beats the info on Susie out of Lung Fei. Now disguised as a telephone repairman he gets into the old building where Susie is being held. Susie and Tiger almost get away when head bad guy shows up, The Baron. The Baron wears a top hat, scarff, uses a cane, and overall just looks funny. Tiger gets the tape from Susie, but Susie doesn't manage to get away.
We finally hear what is on the tape. It is a taped discussion between Susie and the Baron. The Baron is a drug dealer and his plan was to get Susie to talk Bruce Lee into being a drug courier. The bad guys torture Susie into arranging a false meeting with Tiger. Tiger is ambushed at this gym by some gymnast chick, so then Tiger kicks her ass. It was just a diversion so the baddies can raid George's place for the tape, but George has already taken it to the cops. The bad guys kill George and try to rape Tiger's girl Kia. Tiger comes back to put a stop to it. Tiger chases the guys onto the roof of a building where there is a fight sequence and of course some guy falls off the roof. Haha.
Tiger goes to the hospital to visit Kia, but she has already checked out. The Baron is holding Kia and Susie as bait. Tiger meets the Baron down by the sea on some rocks. The Baron is kicking Tiger's ass all over the place. The Baron's cane turns into a sword and he starts slicing Tiger up. Since his shirt is all tattered up, Tiger has no choice but to rip it off. Tiger lures the Baron into the spray from the waves and grabs his arm and twists it around, stabbing the Baron with his own sword...how ironic.
Yep that's about it. Now there are certain locations where fight scenes occur that seem to pop up in most action movies. This flick has just about every cliche fight location in it.
Finally this is another movie that's gonna explain what happened to Bruce, why and how he died. Yet at the end of the movie we still don't know what happened to Bruce Lee. Did the drug dealers kill him? The Baron? We still don't know or maybe we're better off not knowing.
