A standard Bruce Li vehicle highlighted by Paul Smith and Angela Mao. Paul Smith is advertised on the front of the movie box as "the Torturer from Midnight Express". That's the gimmick that they are using to get you to watch/buy this movie, yeah well it worked on me. Unfortunately Anglea Mao has a small role and only appears to kick some ass or cause trouble.

The basic plot is as follows Bruce Li plays Chang Hung, a handsome professional killer, and Anglea Mao is his female assistant. Now in town there are two rival gangs, one led by Chinese Tseng Tse-Chan and the other gang run by American George Cross(Smith). Tseng wants Chang to kill Cross, but really Chang works for Cross. Both gangs want Chang out of the picture. Cross and Tseng meet to make a drug deal, but its a double cross. Chang and Angela Mao bust in and "surprise!" they are really cops. The Paul Smith character is named George Cross on the back of the box, but in the movie they call him "Paul". I guess the are trying to capitalize on his name, the question is why? During the opening credits it says the movie is written by two guys. Why does it take two guys to write a lame script like this?

The movie isn't that bad, I've seen a lot worse. Paul Smith fights with no style or technique, he just fights like a gorilla using size and brute strength. This isn't all bad cuz he throws guys into the roof and picks up steel beams and giant metal wheels and stuff. The Bruce Li kung fu is the usual stuff you see in other Li movies. The best fight scenes are the ones without Bruce Li. Although Li does do some cool gravity defying moves in his big showdown with Paul Smith. It's one of the best fight finales of all Li movies. Realizing he can't defeat him using fists, Li electrocutes Smith, who then explodes in a puff of smoke. Smith has this big fat henchmen named Tom who wears a track suit with the name "Tom" on the jacket. Also there is lots of ripped off music. I recognize it, but don't know exactly who the songs are done by. The one piece of music I do recognize was a short bit of James Bond music.
