I'm finding conflicting information on this movie. I have a copy that says the star is Lee Hsaio Lung, but it Bruce Li, and Li's real name is Ho Chung Tao.. He looks pretty rough on some of the close ups. Below is the basic story I did leave out some stuff cuz I'm lazy and you can watch it and find out yourself.
Okay the movie is about a guy, I forgot his name so we'll just call him the hero. The hero is a martial artist and he hears Bruce Lee has died, so he all depressed and goes to the bar and gets hammered. His brother and friend take him home. In a drunken stupor he has a vision of Bruce Lee. The next day he heads to the neighbourhood shaolin temple for advice. After fighting some monks, he meditates where he has another vision of Bruce Lee. In the vision he sees Bruce Lee fighting some guy who pulls a staff/sword? and stabs Bruce with it. Our hero is convinced the spirit of Bruce Lee is trying to tell him something, so he sets out to discover what really happened.
Hero goes to find Betty Tin, the woman whose apartment Bruce died in. After he makes contact with her, she talks to her "Boss" who sends some guys after our Hero. The bad guys almost get him until his brother shows up and backs him up. Battered and bruised Hero retreats to the temple where he has another vision of Bruce Lee. This time he see Bruce practicing kung fu forms. Our hero practices the forms he saw and strengthens his kung fu!
More thugs attack Hero's brother and sister. Betty's boss is all worried our Hero will learn to much and ruin his plan. Why is worried? Our Hero hasn't found out a damn thing, he's useless! Anyway our Hero pretends to be the ghost of Bruce Lee and goes around scaring everyone. Everyone freaks out and hides under tables and stuff...Boo! Our Hero catches up with Betty Tin and she finally tells what up in a flashback.
Bruce Lee shows up unexpected at Betty Tin's place. He is all grunting and groaning. Bruce rips off his shirt and starts guzzling rum or something. Betty keeps asking him what is wrong and she notices a wound on his side. Bruce trashes around for mintues in slow motion on the bed before dying. Finally now our Hero is getting somewhere!
Three thugs show up at the gym and start whuppin' on the students, so our Hero beats 'em all up. The head thug gives up his boss, so our Hero goes in search of him. Some gwailo gets in his way then he his ass kicked for his trouble.
This is it, the final showdown. The bad guy is hitting golf balls and when our Hero shows up the guy whacks golf ball at him, but our Hero catches it. Cool! The bad guy attacks with his golf club and during the fight he pulls the handle out to reveal a knife. He stabs our Hero right in the exact spot where Bruce Lee had his wound. Now our Hero ain't the hero for nuthing. Our Hero had a piece of metal taped to his side, so the blade didn't hurt. All of the sudden the two are fighting in a quarry or something like that. The fight gets really cheesy now. The footage is all sped up and sorta out of synch, but our Hero prevails and kicks the bad guy down some steep embankment. Hero's brother shows up with the cop, the end.
Bruce Li pulled pulled double duty playing the hero as well as Bruce Lee in the dream sequences...what versatility. So was Bruce Lee really murdered? Was he killed by a golf playing bad guy? As usual we are never told, oh well.
