Abstract: The IEEE 802.11 has been the dominant MAC protocols used in
wireless ad hoc networks. It has been shown theoretically
\cite{gupta},\cite{Tse} that significant performance
improvements as compared to 802.11 can be achieved in random
access wireless networks. In this paper we propose a new
paradigm of medium access control, improving the performance of
wireless ad hoc networks. Simulation results obtained show a
significant improvement of throughput compared to that of an 802.11 system.

(7) "Load Regulated CSMA in Fading Channels", Accepted in IEEE WCNC 2007, HongKong;
Abstract: The novelty of this paper is to introduce the load regulated CSMA concept in order to improve the network throughput.
The non-persistent CSMA throughput equation in presence of fading channels based on probability of
good channel condition has been derived analytically. Furthermore, considering different statistical distribution
of received signal envelope, relevant analytical CSMA throughput equations
are also presented.
