pics from MIT (my college destination)

boffing-the term for fighting with swords made out of pvc cushioned by foam and duct tape.
examples:

cowboy bebop's lion!-or at least that's what it reminded me of.. actually, it's a statue in front of a frat house.

kresge auditorium-an auditorium. of interesting or at least slightly unusual architecture.

"mass ave."-short for massachusetts avenue, the road that runs through MIT; must be crossed to attend classes (as far as i know).

random hall-the dorm i stayed in for cpw (campus preview weekend); has a capacity of 93, has hooked up its bathroom doors and laundry/dryer machines to sensors and the internet, also the residence of the esteemed mv graduates gautham and shuang.

simmons hall-the odd dorm "affectionately" called the "sponge"; each one of those little squares is a window, and each room has on average 9 windows. go figure.
