General description: The old Soviet roads M14 (formerly Brest - Odessa) and M21 (Chisinau - Volgograd) have kept their numbers. Four new M numbers are known so far:
M1Chisinau - Leuseni - Romania
M2Chisinau - Soroca - Ukraine
M3Chisinau - Comrat - Bolgrad (Ukraine)
M4Dubasari - Tiraspol
R roads: Numbering starts with R1 - R6 near Chisinau. Numbers R7 - R38 increase from north to south.
Road signs: Old Soviet signs are blue with white text in cyrillic and roman.
