General description:
Motorways: Numbers increase from north to south. M-4, M-5 and M-6 are planned, the rest are open to traffic at least partly.
National highways: Odd 1- and 2-d numbers generally denote north-south routes, increasing to the west, while even numbers denote east-west routes, increasing to the north. There are exceptions in the order.
3-d numbers are derived from 1-/2-d numbers by adding a digit at the beginning, with trailing zero if applicable (5 --> 105).
Road signs: British style, but with reversed colours: Green with white text on motorways, blue with white text on other roads
