I have been loving astronomy for many years: I devote good part of my spare time to study and observe stars and planets, but above all to examine themes and problems which marked the history of astronomy.
I am a member of the Associazione Astrofili Trentini, the most ancient among the astronomical associations in Trentino, active from almost twenty-five years. For this association I realized the website, which now I keep updated: you can visit it to the URL http://www.astrofilitrentini.it. |
These are some astronomical pages that I composed during the last years:
The Nine Planets - Italian version (in Italian)
It is the Italian translation of the famous site realized by Bill Arnett. Of every body of the solar system, from the sun to the planets, from the satellites to the comets and the asteroids, The Nine Planets is an extraordinary trip among the most fascinating objects of the sky. Realized in collaboration with Michele Bortolotti, it is currently the only Italian version of these pages.

| The constellations
It is a sky atlas which collects the maps of all the eighty-eight constellations, with the coordinates of the stars which exceed the magnitude 3,5. Every card contains a brief description of the constellation and of its major objects, as well as an historical-mythological outline. |

Mappe del cielo (in Italian)
A series of maps of the sky makes it possible to see how the sky appears in the various periods of the year. The maps, equipped by a short description that enables to orient better in the disposition of the constellations, are based on the latitude of Trento (around 46°00'N).

| Little guide to Solar System
Simple and clear, these pages are devoted to those people who approach for the first time to the study of the planets. Every card is constituted by a short description of the body and by a table which illustrates the physical data, as well as by a list of the satellites. It is also possible to see a table that compare the various bodies of the Solar System. |

The face of the Moon (in Italian)
It is the translation of the website The face of the Moon by William B. Ashworth Jr. These pages contain forty-five representations of the Moon, realized during almost four centuries, from the sketches drawn by Galileo to the photos picked up by the Apollo missions.

| Meteoriti (in Italian)
Inspired to the New England Meteoritical Services website, these pages, equipped with photographies, introduce the principal types of meteorite illustrating their salient characteristics. The pages are completed by a short history of meteoritics and by a list of links. |
