Step 2: Stringing
75 Body Repair Scheme
First lay out your arm pieces.  Left sides together and then right sides.  There is nothing so shocking as finishing a repair only to find that you've switched the lower arm pieces and have to start all over again.
Snake the needle in through the slit in the shoulder and down and out the square hole in the elbow area of the upper arm piece.  Don't pull the needle all of the way through.
Now feed the needle through the elbow slit in the lower arm piece.  Go under the rivet.
Thread the elastic through the eye of the needle.
And pull the elastic through the elbow slit.
Thread both ends of the elastic through the needle eyelet and lightly crimp the wire down tight on the elastic with a pair of pliers to keep them from slipping out..
Gently, but firmly, Pull both ends of the elastic up through the upper arm piece.
Use a Clothes Pin or clamp to secure the elastic where it comes out of the upper arm piece.
Put the needle in the right arm pit hole and snake it up through and out the neck bump hole. Go to Techniques Page and read the Caution on this Step.
This picture shows you what the inside of the chest piece looks like.  The blue arrows show the path of the needle.  It is important to go around that pin as shown.  If you miss it the head won't set evenly on the neck.
Thread one end of the elastic through the second eyelet in the needle and crimp it with the pliers so it doesn't slip out.
The needle has been pulled up and out of the neck hole and clamped with a Clothes Pin.
