Cahill, John Henry
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Mar.31, 1869, son of Michael and Anna (Conlon) Cahill. He received his education in the schools of Trenton and later became employed by the United States Railway Service. He later transferred to New York City's Grand Central Station and was later transferred to Binghamton when a station was opened here. He married Elizabeth Holmes Wicoff, daughter of Edward Taylor and Martha (Tilton) Wicoff. They had two daughters, Leila and Olive.
Cahill, John M.
Born Sept, 16, 1876 in Silver Lake , Susquehanna County, son of Matthew and Rose (Lynch) Cahill. He became a teacher in his home town but received the opportunity to enter the clothing business and followed that profession for over thirty years in the village of Endicott. he was a member of the Masons, Elks and Knights of Columbus. He married in Deposit, Feb. 27, 1900, Mary Wakweman, daughter of Oscar and Mary (Burke) Wakeman. They had children; Kathryn, John M., Jr. and James P.
Cameron, Burr G.
Born in Richfield Springs, Otsego County, NY November 19, 1889, son of Vernon A. and Nora (Stauring) Cameron. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and was admitted to the bar in 1911. He came to Endicott, NY in 1919 and resumed his career in law. He purchased half interest in a fire insurance business , becoming Zimmer & Cameron. He married in 1916, Mary E. Hosford of Richfield Springs. They had four children; C. Louise born 1917, Thelma L. born 1918, Roberta M. born 1919 and Muriel P. born 1921.
Campbell, Claude R.
Born in Binghamton Sept, 7, 1876, son of Walter and Priscilla (Smith) Cameron. he graduated from Binghamton High and was employed by John R. Clakr Company, jobbers and wholesalers hatters. He established a firm Campbell & Company and engaged in the general line of insurance.He was a member of the Sportman's Club, Kiwanis, Masons and the Conklin Avenue Church. He married,in 1906, Anna D. Van Patten and were parents of children; Walter M. born in 1909, Lillian E. born 1911, Richard H. born 1913 and C. Robert, Jr. born 1914.
Card, Hermon
Born April 17, 1882 in Vestal, NY, son of Romanzo and Adelia (Campbell) Card. He was educated in the schools of that town and began early in the hardware business. He established a machine shop in Endicott known as Card & Bacon which flourished over the years. He married in Binghamton, Oct. 5, 1910 , Candace Titus born Sept. 5, 1886 in Foster, Pa. , daughter of Lucian and Edna (Williams) Titus. They had three children; Madeline born Apr. 5, 1913, Maylon born Apr. 15, 1916 and Marion E. born Dec. 2, 1921.
Cary, Ralph Stuart
Born in Binghamton August 19, 1867, son of James and Elizabeth (Littlefair) Cary. He entered the clothing business of James S. Cary Company. He later became associated with the Telometer Manufacturing Company of which he was secretary and treasure, he was a member of Kalurah Temple, Shriners, Elks, Broome County Sportsmans Association and the Country Club. He married Charlotte Dillingham.
Casey, Dr. Eugene M.
Ostepathic physician in Binghamton, a son of James and Mary (Cleary) Casey born in Port Jervis, NJ. He graduated from New Milford High School and attended Ontario Vetinary College in Canada. He married Agnes DeWitt, daughter of Evi and Anna (Wilson) DeWitt, she died in 1903 and he married in 1907 Edmira Cabana , daughter of Oliver and Edmire (Rainville) Cabana.They had children: Edmire R., Eugene J., Vincent L., Richard F., Mary Agnes and Oliver John.
Cawley, Anthony J,
Born Mar. 17, 1850 in Wayne County, Pa., settling in Endicott, he opened a blacksmith shop. He married at Carbondale, Pa. Julia Coggins, daughter of Michael and Mary Coggins. They had children; John, Joseph, Leo and Laurette.
Celler, Abraham
Born in New York City Sept. 3, 1857 son of Aaron and Esther (Rhodes) Celler. He received his education in the schools of his native place and learned the trade of cutter. He was employed in New York City for nineteen years, before coming to Endicott and associating himself with Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company. He married June 19, 1889, Emma Commings Scouten, daughter of Burton and Ophelia (Commings) Scouten.
Chernin, Bernard H.
Born in Russia June 10, 1892, member of the legal profession being admitted to the bar July 2, 1918. He built a substantial clientel and was a member of the Elks, Broome County Chamber of Commerce and Sportsman's Club. He married Mar.16, 1916, Ruth Fidelman of Elmaira, NY daughter of Joseph and Rose (Rosenblatt) Fidelman. They had two children, Kennath C. born June 1, 1919 and Minette born April 16, 1922.
Chittenden, Arthur S.
Born in Binghamton, June 27, 1872, son of Joseph and Helen (DeEtte) Chittenden, a physician of Binghamton. He received his education in the grade schools of this city, attended Yale University and John Hopkins University in Baltimore. He came to Binghamton and was associated with City Hospital and State Hospital for the Insane. He was a member of the Broome County Medical Society, Binghamton Country Club, and Masons. He married first in New York City, in 1904 to Anna Preston Beebee and had a son Joseph. He married second July 27, 1910 Winifred Browning Carrier, daughter of Montague and Delphine Browning and had two daughters , Constance and Janet.
Christian, M.R.
Born in Broome County , July 9, 1850, son of Henry W. and Laura (Gorham) Christian . After completing his education in the public schools and Canandaiga Academy, he engaged in teaching and later entered the fire insurance field. He went to Chicago, Ill. for in the employ of Smith Premier Typerwriter Company, later returning to this area and associated with Crary Company. He took active interest in the civic welfare of his home city and identifies with it's many clubs and organizations including, Rotary Club, Sportsmans Club, Masons, Order of the Red Men and is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
Christian, Charles Henry
Born Oct. 19, 1878 in Walton, NY son of Orton A. and Eleanor (Starbird) Chriatian. His father was a farmer and Charles H. followed this occupation until completing his education. He had a strong desire to become associated with the newspaper business and was publisher and editor of the " Harpersville Budget ". He married at Whitesboro, NY Oct. 2, 1920to Wanneta Demeree born in Harpersville July 4, 1895, daughter of Emerson and Elida (Welton) Demeree. They had one daughter, Eleanor Rhoda born Mar. 2, 1922 and one son, Chrales Henry, Jr. born ay 29, 1923.
Church, Henry P.
Born 1874 in Afton, Chenango County, NY, son of Richard R. and Cynthia M (Perry) Church. He attended Albany Business College. He taught school for many years in Chenango County and after coming to Broome County, he entered the employ of Homer J. Mitchell, in the merchantile trade. The two men later began the firm of Mitchell & Church. Henry P. was a member of the Binghamton Club, Masons, Kalurah Temple and Shriners. He married , in 1903, to Etna M. Burlingame and had one daughter, Dorothy Church born 1904.
Clark, Frank H.
Born July 26, 1858, at Center lisle, NY, son of Martin Swift and Harriet (Franklin) Clark. He attended the district schools and Lisle Academy. He went west to Cheyenne, Wyoming, residing there for nearly thirty years. He was on the news staff of the "Leader" a daily newspaper and became it's editor. He was engaged in the practice of law in that city and was in the House of Representatives. He returned to Lisle in 1911 and was associated with the Liberty Loan Commitee and historian for the village and town of Lisle.
Clark, Martin Swift
Born Feb. 15, 1830 at Center Lisle, NY , son of David and Sarah (Howland) Clark who came from Plymouth County, Mass. in 1811. He was schooled in the country and attended Troy Academy for two years. He went to California prospecting and mining, returned to Lisle and entered business with Benjamin Woodworth. He opened a general store in Lisle and continued business until a fire destroyed the building and stock. He then went to Colorado, once agin in the mining business and later to Oregaon, acquired a large flock of sheep which he droved overland to Wyoming. He then returned to Lisle to spend his remaining years.. He married Oct. 1, 1857, Harriet Franklin, daughter of John H. and Cornelia B. Franklin who came from Cayuaga County. Children, Frank C., Jennie H. and Walter M.
Clark, E. Day
Born Nov. 18, 1870 Stafford, Onondaga County, NY, son of Milton O. and Mary E. Clark. He attended school in Cayuga County and State Normal at Cortland, NY. He taught school in Truxton, Homer and became principal of Dryden High School.He took up legal studies , was admitted to the bar, in 1908, taking up the practice of law with offices in the Security Mutual Building. He was a member of the Mason, Shriners, Red Men, Binghamton Country Club and the First Baptist Church . He married at Whitney Point, Dec. 27, 1893 to Lillian P. Wheeler, daughter of John P. and Charlotte Wheeler and had one son, John O. born July 5, 1899.
Clark, John C.
Born in Binghamton, Nov. 4, 1891, son of John P., from Pittsfield, Mass. and Grace (Harding) Clark. He was president and manager of Wylie Jones Advertising Agency with home office in Binghamton and offices in London, Australia, New York City and Buffalo, NY. He was a member on the Binghamton Country Club and Rotary Club. He married July 26, 1913, Dorothy Jones of Burlington, Vermont.They had two children, John C.,Jr. born 1915 and Jean C. born 1917.
Clark, Sidney T.
Born in Binghamton, Dec. 23, 1886, son of Sidney T. and Emily (Bartlett) Clark who was the daughter of Isaac and Emily (Banks) Bartlett and grandaughter of Capt. Isaac Bartlett who came to Owego in 1813 and Binghamton in 1829, a descendent of Robert Bartlett who came to Plymouth, Mass on the " Ann " in 1623. He attended public schools in Binghamton and Yale University where he received a Bachelors degree. He associated himself with Bartlett & Company and upon on the death of Arthur Bartlett he became head of the company, his mother a grandaughter of the founder. He married May 7, 1911, Grace Beecher, daughter of Henry and Katherine (Mills) Beecher and had two children, Charles B. born Mar. 13, 1912 and Elizabeth B. born Sept. 13, 1917.
Clark, Hosea A.
Born in Montour Falls, NY, son of Robert , a native of New York and Caroline (Rhodes) Clark, the latter a native of New Jersey. He received his education in the public schools of his native place brfore coming to Binghamton. He ventured into business in the manufacturing of glass with plants in Corning, NY and Pittston, Pa. He established the Alexander Park Corp. for the purpose of breeding and raising animals for fur and food with a lot of 430 acres in Apalachin, NY. He married in 1888, Nellie L. Edwards and had one child, Bertha E.
Clark, Roger Phelps
Born in Binghamton Mar. 14, 1869, son of Edward K and Martha J. (Seymour) Clark. He attended the schools of Binghamton and Cornell University. He was admitted to the bar in 1893 and was district attorney. He later became a member of the firm Hinman,Howard & Kattell.
Clay, James Newton
Born at Waco, Texas, Jan. 7, 1875, son of William C. and Essie(Greer) Clay. He was a descendent of the famous Henry Clay, so prominent in the early history of our country and James K. Polk and also Isaac Newton. He established himself with the manufacture of bedding in Tulsa, OK and later moved his business to Bingahmton known as J.N. Clay Bedding Company . He was engaged in the making of high grade bedding with shipping to all eastern states. He employed about 25 people and opened a branch in Cortland, NY. During the war, he made mattresses for the Unites States Government for the soldiers. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Masons and Shriners. He married in 1906, Elberta G. Gilchrist of Albany.
Clements, John R.
Born in Ireland, Nov. 28, 1868, son of John and Elizabeth (Mains) Clements of County Armagh, Northern Ireland. He attended school in Sullivan County, NY and entered into the retail grocery business. He became president of Binghamton Warehouse and Supply and director of the Clements Company , Inc. of Waverly, NY. He married in Binghamton, 1890, Anna R. Brown and had children, Philip B., Dorothy M. and Francis Clark.
Clendening, Starr
Born Apr. 29, 1881 in Center Village, NY, son of Andrew and Florence (Andrews) Clendening. After completing high aschool, he worked on his fathers farm and later moved to Church Hollow where he engaged in stock raising, and later to Belden, NY , and finally Windsor, NY, all towns which are in Broome County. He specialized in raising of horses and cattle, unmarried, he lived with his widowed mother for many years.
Cleveland, Edward Wadsworth
Born in Elmira, NY Dec. 10, 1883, son Thurlow W. and Kate ( Hertitage) Cleveland, his father being the head of Empire Product Company in Elmira. He became a student at St. John's Academy and Philadelphia College of Osteopathy, receiving his degree, D.O. from that institution. After practicing for two years in Canada, he entered Chicago College of Osteopathy and came to Binghamton. He was a member of the Mason, Rotary Club, Ancient Scottish Rite and the First resbyterian Church. He married Feb. 27, 1921 Mrs. Aladaide Armstrong, daughter of James C. and Mary Pringle of Norfolk, Va. They had children, Dorothy, a child by Mrs. Cleveland's first husband and Elsie Constance Cleveland.

A prosperious farmer of Apalachin, NY, he was born Sept. 10, 1863 in Susquehannah County, Pa., son of Richard and Harriet L. (Wilcox) Clifford, natives of Vermont. He received his education in the public schools and after completing a formal education, he was a teacher. He was part owner of an extensive farm , which he helped to cultivate with his brother Wilbur Clifford, who was born May 6, 1861 in Pa. and married Nov. 14, 1884, Jessie Harvey, daughter of Isaac Harvey and had children, Hattie M. born Feb. 24, 1887, Jennie L. born July 23, 1888 and Harold born Dec. 18, 1899, married Kathryn Bloomer.
Cobb, Frank Collins
Born Aug. 3, 1890 in Gardner, Maine, son of Charles S. and Maria (Collins) Cobb. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Maine, receiving a Bachelors of Arts degree. He was associated with the State Board of Education and Young Men's Christian Association. He was a commissioned officer in the war servicing at Camp Lee, Virginia and later Camp Devans, Mass. After discharge he accepted a position with the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Rotary Club, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce and Masons. He married in 1913, Fannie Read, a native of Livermore Falls, Maine.
Colburn, Delbert Otis
Born in Addison, NY, Aug. 18, 1867, son of Oliver and Abbie Colburn. He received his education in his native high school and as a young man became interested in transportation, securing a position in the railway station in Addison. He went to Elmira and later to Owego. He was a member of the High Street Methodist Church and held a local preschers license. He married May 13, 1890, Clara M. Knapp, daughter of Charles P. and Anna E, Knapp. They had five children, Howard K., Leon L., Marion L., Ruth and Louise
Cole, Charles Higgins, M.D.
President of the Broome County Tuberculosis Hospital in Chenango Bridge, a native of Troy, NY , son of George H. and M. Isabelle Cole. The public schools of Waterford , NY furnished him his early training and he matriculated at Albany Medical College. He was deputy medical superintendent of Sea View Hospital in Staten Island, medical director of Pawling Sanatorium, the Renssalaer Tuberculosis Hospital and medical director of the Minnisota State Advisory Committtee. He was a member of the National Tuberculosis Association, Elks, and Broome County Medical Association. He married at Rochester, NY in 1918, Maria A. Parcells, daughter of Frank S. and Mary L. Parcells.
Coleman, J. Wesley
Born in Bradford County, Pa. Aug. 27, 1861, son of Orin and Susan (Palmer) Coleman. He served in the 144th Reg. of Penna. Vol. He engaged in farming and lumbering and became employed with the Wilkerson Manufacturing Company. In 1911 he deceided to engage in business for himself and formed the firm of Davis and Coleman, contractors and builders. He gave his time to the government when the war broke out. He married in 1886, Mary Arnold, daughter of Rev. A.J. Arnold and had children, Leon A. married Jean Lovell, Clarence O., Clayton W. and Mrytie A.
Coleman, James Wallace
Partner in the undertaking firm of Spencer & Coleman of Union, NY, he was born in Bradford County, Pa. , son of Levi Coleman.He entered Binghamton State Hospital , completing training in nursing and took a post graduate course in Bellvue Hospital in New York City. He engaged in the undertaking business in Brooklyn, N Y before returning to Bingahtmon. He married Aug. 12, 1917 in Union, Caroline H. Seal, daughter of John Seal. They had one son, Roger Wallace Coleman.
Coleman, William Henry
Born in New Albany, Pa., son of Orin and Susan (Palmer) Coleman
Merchant and farmer of Kirkwood. He was general foreman for the Trojan Powder Company during the war and returned to Binghamton to resume his private interests. He married Sept. 26,1901, Inez M. Reddington, daughter of Willard and Ethel (Mayne) Reddington .

Born in Kirkwood, NY Dce. 30, 1879, son of Homer C. and Nellie H. (Emmons) Collier, natives of Binghamton. He received his education in the schools of Binghamton and attended Lowells Business College. He bacame associated with his father's business of shellac and varnishes. He was a member of the Broome County Chamber of Commerce and Masons and married Oct. 9, 1906, Jane L. Keyes , daughter of Frank R. and Cora (Wilcox) Keyes, had children, Homer K. born 1907, Duane C. born 1909 and Elizabeth J. born 1915.
Collingwood, Bernard G.
Born in Plymouth, Mass. Oct. 14, 1896, son of William and Lottie M. (Johnson) Collingwood. He received his education in the schools of Endicott, NY and was employed at Endicott-Johnson for eight years. He became associated with Earl Barton in the organization of Barton-Collingwood Company, manufacturing a special brand of stitch down shoes. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Rotary Club, and Ancient Scottish Rites. He married in1916, Mildred E. Lacey of Auburn, Susquehanna County, Pa.
Colsten, John
Born in Chicago, Ill. Aug. 26, 1866, son of John and Alexandra (Green) Colsten. He obtained his education in the schools of Binghamton . His first employment was with Boswith & Company, wholesale grain dealers. He later went with Erie Railroad for a number of years, then to Kinney Coal Company where he was manager of their lumber yards. He later entered the banking business and became the president of Nelson, Colsten and Company, a private bank. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, board of managers of the Susquehanna Valley Home and a Mason. He marreid in 1894, Carrie L. Horne and had one child, Ruth.
Connelly, Thomas R.
Born Apr. 11, 1894 in Binghamton, son of Edward and Mary (Fay) Connelly. He was propietorof teh Windsor Inn, the leading hotel of Windsor, NY. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American legion and served in World War 2 in the 147th Infantry. He married in Binghamton, Frances O'Hara, daughter of Bernard and Julia (Murphy) O'Hara and they had one child, Betty.
Connerton, James E.
Born Fec. 25, 1892 in Binghamton, son of Dennis and Rosanna (Riley) Connerton. He graduated from Johnson City High School and attended Syracuse University, engeged in the study of law. He opened his own law office in Johnson City, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks, Rotary Club and Binghamton Country Club. He married Aug. 21, 1918 to Anna Foley, daughter of Patrick and Mary F. Foley. They were the parents of two daughters; Rosemary and Anne Patricia.
Conrad, Charles H.
Born Aug. 23, 1889 in New York City, son of Henry and Catherine Conrad. He located in Binghamton in 1911 with offices in the Phelps Building. He was a member of the American Instistute of Architects, Chamber of Commerce, Elks, Binghamton Country Club, Broome County Sportmens Club and Masons. He married Sept. 10, 113, Elizabeth Manny. They had two sons; Charles Henry, Jr.born Feb. 12, 1916 and Anthony born Jan. 6, 1922.
Conrow, Carl V.
Born Jan. 20, 1885 in Deposit, NY, son of William F. and Abbie Conrow. In 1916, he entered the insurance business and established offices in Union.. He married in 1902, Pauline Dionne born Apr. 12, 1886, daughter of Augustus E. and Alvira Dionne of Westport, New Hampshire. They had two daughters; Greta and Evelyn.
Converse, Frederic,. S.
Born in Otsego County in Dec. of 1862, son of Edward and Caroline (Richardson) Converse. After attending the public schools of that area, he entered Gilbertsville Academy. His business began as a station agent in the company of Ontario & Western Railroad, where he continued for fifteen years. He then engaged in the coal business in Lyons, Wayne County, NY for thirteen years. When the Coal Dealers Supply Company of Lestershire, now Johnson City, NY went bankrupt, he bought the company and it became F.S. Converse Company, Inc. He married Merrill F. Dye of Chenango County. They had no children.
Cook, Betram B.R.
Born in England February 26, 1885, son of William and Sarah (Fisher) Cook. He attended schools and a boarding school in his native country before coming to this country in 1905. He settled in the town of Greene, Chenango County, NY and attended Albany Business College. He employed first at the Fairview Home in West Troy and later became superintendent of the Susquehanna Valley Home for Orphans. He was a member of the Masons, Rotary Club and New York National Guards. He married Emma J. Van Valkenburg in 1916. They had two children; Elizabeth Ann born in 1918 and Robert Betram born 1921.

Cook, manufacturers of Cream Dove shortening, the name of the company changing to Cream Dove also specializing in peanut butter. He was a Mason, Shriner and Elks.He married Mabel R. Klock in 1911 and they had children; Carlton J. born Apr. 19, 1912 and Dorothy R. born Sept. 5, 1913.

July 29, 1879 in Theresa, NY, son of Jerome and Emma (Farr) Cooper. He attended public schools and Mead Business Collge in Syracuse, NY . He went into the wallpaper business and became one of the largest retailers of wallpaper in the world with thirty-two stores He was a member of the Binghamton Country Club, Sportsman's Club, and Masons. He married Laura K. Stoutinger of Syracuse, NY IN 1912. They had one child, Phyllis.
Corbett, Merritt J.
Of Corbett & Stuart, largest manufacturers of wood chemicals in the United States, was born May 3, 1865 in Corbettsville, NY, son of Julius Smith and Emma Ruth (Grimes) Corbett. He received his education in the public schools of Binghamton. At the age of sixteen, he was bookkeeper for the firm Anderson, Gregg & Son and later in the employ of Merchants National bank. He began a business for himself in Rockland, Sullivan County, NY, taking as a partner, J.L. Stuart . The business grew to have five plants in New York State and Pennsylvania and Wells, Michigan. During the war he provided to the government, great quantities of acetone , used to make high explosives and was the source of supply for the Brittish Government. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Binghamton Country Club, Rotary Club, Bankers Club, aa director of First National Bank, a member of the board of directors of the Boys Club and served on the board of managers of Binghamton State Hospital. He married April 30, 1890 in Binghamton, to Julia Morgan , daughter of Moses and Sarah (Mellan) Morgan. They had no children.
Cornell, William T.
Born Feb. 10, 1866, in Charlottville, NY, son of John C. and Mary A. Cornell.With his father, he was in the undertaking business in Port Crane, who later moved his business to Binghamton.. He was a member of the Kiwanis, Masons, and Binghamton Country Club. He married in Port Dickinson, June 1, 186, Etta M. Holt, daughter of Walter and Lydia Holt. They had one daughter, Etta.
Cornick, Henry H.
Born West Bend, Indianna, Feb. 22, 1870, son of Edward and Juliette (MacDonald) Cornick. His father was a veteran of the Civil War and owner of an extensive ranch in Iowa, his mother a native of Port Crane in Broome County. He received his education in the public schools of Binghamton , entering the field of business by accepting a job with the Kilmer & Company. Later years, he accepted a position with the fire department and opened a barber shop on Chenango Street. A member of the Chamber of Commerce, Masons, Eagles and Odd Fellows. He married Elizabeth Hine and had children Esther, Alleen and Garry.

Born in Morristown, St. Lawrence County, NY, Apr. 10, 1870, son of J.P. and Hannah (Wilson) Couper. He received his education in the schools of Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended Ogdensburg Academy , Hamilton College and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Law Degree.He was associated with the firm of Welsh & Couper which later became Couper & Terry. Born in Forest City, Pa. , May 28, 1890, son of Matthias and Luvy (Lamerdux) Cramer. After completing school in his home town, he learned the painter's trade, beginning in sign and carriage painting. He began a business in Binghamton in 1921 known as the Binghamton Sign Company. He married in 1915, Grace Harte of Susquehanna, Pa.They had a son, Kenneth.

Born near Scranton, Pa. May 5, 1873, he copmpleted his education in the schools of Carbondale and became interested in photography. He mastered the art and opened a studio in Scranton, where he carried forward for twelve years. He opened a studio in Binghamton on Court Street in 1920. He married in 1897 Sarah F. Pierce of Carbondale and they had children; Keneth P. born 1903 and Ruth F. born 1908.
Cramer, Edward F. Born in Stuyvesant, Columbia County, Feb. 6, 1890, son of William and Minnie (Radcliff) Cramer. He received his education in the schools of Albany, NY and attended Albany College He accepted a position with New York Life Insurance Company and was later transferred to Binghamton.A member of the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and Broome County Sportsman's Club. He married June 1917, Selma O. Falmer of Scranton and had a daughter, Betty Jane born June 27, 1920.
Cummings, George Bain
Born in New Ipswich, New Hampshire Feb.11, 1890 son of John W. and Harriet A. (Boyce) Cummings. He received his education in the public schools of New York City, and attended Cornell University graduating with a Bachelors of Architure degree. He started his professional career with the firm of Carrere & Hastings in New York City,enlisted in the war and serving sixteen months in France after which he moved to Binghamton May 1920 opening offices in the Security Mutual Building. He married Nov. 9, 1912 Aura M. Butler of Ithaca daughter of Edward A. and Susie E. (Krum) Butler. They had children; Barbara Joy born 1916, Jean Marie born 1920 and John Butler born 1922.
Cunningham, Robert R.
Born in Scotland Sept. 2, 1878, son of Robert R. and Agnes (Kelsey) Cunningham He was brought to Patterson, New Jersey where he received his education and learned the trade of tinner and plumber. e became an expert in his field and went into business in Johnson City, NY in 1910. he was a member of the Masons, Kalurah Temple, and Broome County Sportsmans Club. He married Jume 1, 1907 Harriet Cass of Mansfield, Pa.
Curtis, Charles W.
Born in Plattsburg, NY Sept. 16, 1889, son of S.D. and Harriet (Gardner) Curtis. After graduating from Plattsburg High School, he attended Williams College in Williantown, Mass.and became associated with Delaware & Hudson Railroad. In 1912 he was in the employ of Endicott-Johnson starting in the shipping department and working his way up to the advertising department on an international basis. He married in 1913 at Plainfield, New Jersey, Helen Sadler of that city, daughter of W.H. and Alice (Beaumont) Sadler. They had hcildren; Charles W. born May 24, 1915, Ruth Alice born Jan. 24, 1918, Jane Sadler born Mar. 19, 1919 and Helen Elizabeth born May 12, 1921.
