Feeck, Frank M.
Born Feb. 3, 1877 in Schoharie County, NY son of Jacob J. and Jane Feeck. He attended district schools and learned the business of shoe manufacturing. He came to Johnson City and was employed at Endicott-Johnson. He married Feb.14, 1890, Etta Baird, daughter of Alford Baird. They had one son William Douglas Feeck.

Felton, Sumner D.
Born in Chenango County, Aug. 2, 1869, son of Hervey J. and Ellen (Sumner) Felton. He was educated in the district schools He beame propieter of a general store in Pharsalia, NY and was appointed postmaster. He sold his merchantile business, moved to Oxford, NY and became employed at Oxford Basket Manufacturing Company. He was connected to other corporations and relocated to Endicott where he was associated with Endicott Lumber & Box Company and became general manager. He was secretary-treasuer of the Community Savings and Loan and a director of the Endicott Mortgage Company. He married in East Pharsalia, January 29, 1890, Edith Brown daughter of S.M. and Sarah Brown of Chenango County.

Fenderson, John J.
Born Aug. 4, 1863 in Tioga, NY, son of Iasiah and Althea Fenderson. He attended public schools and learned the trade of butcher, which he follwed for many years. He was able to save from this business venture and engaged in business as a contractor and became road commissioner of Endicott. He married on Christmas Day 1883 Stella Crotsky daughter of Lewis and Nancy Crotsky. They had children, Myrtle G. born Nov. 6, 1884, Lottie T. born Aug. 10, 1886 and Lewis born July 6, 1891.

Ferguson, Forrest Erwin
born in Remington, Va. Jan. 6, 1899, son of Samuel T. and Janie C. (Thompson) Ferguson. Following his education in the public schools of his brithplace, he took a special business course at Piedmont Business School and George Washington Law School.. He was a graduate of International Accounting Society of Chicago , Ill. and the Vannais Accounting Instutite of Hartford, Conn. His first business experience was in Lynchburg, Va. where is was accountant for Southern Railway Company. After coming to Binghamton, he entered a business for himself, Forrest E. Ferguson & Company with offices in the O'Neil Building. He was a member of the National Association of Cost Accountants, National Teachers Federation and Chamber of Commerce. He married in 1920, Mabel Walker of Elwood, Va. and lived on Chestnut Street in Binghamton.

Finn, Solon C.
Born in Riverside, Nov. 18, 1859 son of James M. Finn. He assisted his father and was well trained to the work of the farm. He was chief engineer in Buffalo and studied at night school , making a special study of electricity. On the death of his father, he succeded in the ownership of the homestead , which he has successfully conducted. He was associated with First National Bank of Halstead, Pa. He married in 1896 Clara Wilmont, daughter of Woodruff and Sarah E. (Conklin) Wilmont.

Fischer, William Charles
Born in New York City Mar. 2, 1891, son of Eugene Charles and Harriet (Welke) Fischer. He entered school and graduated in 1909. His first employment was that of page boy for the New York Stock Exchange. He then took up professiional baseball and his career was made on the diamond of the Binghamton team, New York State League He was transferred to the Toronto Team and later sold to the Brooklyn of the National League. He retired from baseball in 1918 and entered the employ of Endicott-Johnson as a traveling salesman. However, George F. Johnson owner of the Binghamton Baseball Team persuaded him to continue his baseball career. He became supervisor of departments connected to the the Athletics of the corporation . He married in 1912 Mary Connelly . They had children, William C. born in 1915 and Robert Eugene born in 1917.

Flint, Ray L.
Born in Binghamton, July 6, 1892 , son of Adelbert D. and Myra E. (Snedecker) Flint. He entered the public schools , then took employment with A. Shaap & Son of New York City as buyer of clothing stock. He became associated with Frank Robinson Auto Sale and as manager of Security Motor Sales, buying out the interests of Kaplan & Gregory, he organized the LaFlint Battery Corporation. He married in 1916 Frances White.

Foote, Arthur W.
Born Dec. 24, 1880 in Hazelton, Pa., son of John and Edna Foote. He began his schooling in Hazelton and finished in Scranton, Pa. A successful businessman of Johnson City, purchasing a hotel, the beginning of the holdings he was to acquire. He married in 1912, Emma Chase daughter of William and Georgia Chase.

Ford, Austin Ward
Born in Despoit, NY Mar. 13, 1864 son of William L. and Sarah (Ward) Ford. After finishing school, he became assistant in his fathers stores in Deposit. He came to Binghamton in 1887 and with Harlow E. Bundy of the time recording clock fame, organanized the Bundy Recording Clock Company. He continued in the official relation for many years, but when Bundy Manufacturing Compny was absorbed by Computing, Tabulating and Recording Company, he retired and remained only as acting director of the new company , in which he was a stockholder. He married Ada Ford daughter of Dewitt Ford of Oneonta, NY. They had children, William L. , Elizabeth, Florence Ward, Edward Emmons and Harriet Stewart.

Ford, Edmund A.
Born in Binhamton, son of R.A. and Mary (Whitney, a direct descendent of Joshua Whitney) Ford. He finished high school and became associated with his father in the coal business, becoming the executive secretary of the largest coal copmany in New York State, the Powell Coal Company. He was a member of the Masons, Chamber of Commerce , Kalurah Temple and Shriners. He married May 22, 1915 Dora B. Fuller daughter of Orson M. and Flora Pine) Fuller.

Fowler, George W.
Born at Cellardyke, near Edinburg, Scotland, Sept. 5, 1852, son of George and Margaret (Murray) Fowler.Attended the local schools of Scotland and later became an apprentice with Sharpe & Murray, leading drapers. He came to Meriden, Conn. in 1871. He was employed at a department store there where he met Alexander Dick and Gilbert Walker with whom he formed a partnership and they opened a store in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. They came to Binghamton in 1881 and opened Fowler, Dick and Walker's on Court Street. They had stores thoughtout Penna. and Binghamton and Auburn, NY and Evansville, Indianna. He had one son, George W. Fowler, Jr. who managed the store in Wilkes-Barre.

Fox, Dr. George H.
Born in Steuben County, NY Aug. 15, 1882 son of Charles James and Louise Octavia (Wright) Fox. He entered the Detroit Prepatory School and attended Amherst College. He received his Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Arts degrees from University of Michigan. He came to Binghamton , organized and was director of the Kilmer Pathological Labotory and organized the first ambulance crew in the city. He was Captain of the National Gaurd Unit, a member of the Masons, the Shriners and the American Legion. He married in 1909 Gertrude Olcott of Corning, NY and had two children, M. Olcott born 1917 and Norman Wright born 1919.

Freeland, Harry J.
Born in Stroudburg, Pa. son of Charles E. and Hulda Freeland. He attended the public schools of Stroudburg. After some years he had learned the newspaper business from the beginning, working his way up, he established himself in the printing business. He came to Endicott and edited the Endicott Bulletin Newpspaer. He was a member of the Masons, Elks, Shriners, Eastern Star and Rotary Club. He married June 15, 1907, Hariette Sutter, daughter of Jerome and Abbie Sutter.

Frey, Leo E.
Born in Hornell, NY fEB. 3, 1890, son of Albert and Anna Frey. He graduated from Wellsville High School and attended the University of Buffalo where he learned the druggist trade. After attaining his degree he moved to Vestal where he engaged in business. He served in the Medical Department of the Army during the war. He married in Endicott, NY. June 17, 1917, Emma Dobrovolsky and had one son Joseph and one daughter, Margaret.

Frost, Jack
Born in Wibdsor Apr. 2, 1876 son of Melville and Frances ( Brown) Frost. After attennding public schools, he gave his attention to the work of the homestaed and followed his father in farming. He later left farming and moved to Johnson City where he was in the employ of Endicott-Johnson . He after engaged in the hotel and real eastate business. He sold his hotel and again went into farming, purchasing 200 acres in Kirkwood, New Jersey known as the Jersey Farm and owned a small farm in Bingahmton where he resided. He married in Binghamton, Nellie Lloyd daughter of Edward and Evelyn (McFlynn) Lloyd.

Fuller, Howard Rowson
Born in Chicago, Ill. June 12, 1887 son of Jesse W. and Abbie Fuller. He completed high school in the public schools in Bainbridge, NY and attended Colgate Academy and the University of Wisconsin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. He came to Binghamton in1915 and assisted in the manual training and coaching of athletic work in the grade schools. He enlisted in the Army, 104th Reg., and went overseas as sergeant of the machine gun section.. After returning from the war, he came to Binghamton and associated with D.O Agency, general insurance, becoming vice-presidant. He organized the first grade school baseball team . He was director of the Home Mutual and Loan Savings Association, a member of the Masons, the Binghamton Club and American Legion. He married June 17, 1920, Helen Manny and had Howard Rowson, Jr. born Sept. 24, 1924 and one daughter, Shirley.

Fulmer, Ernest M.
Born Jan. 6, 1865 in Finland Valley, Allegany County, son of King Hiram and Lavina (Metcalf) Fulmer. He obtained his education in local schools and assisted his father in the farm work for several years. He then worked in stores as a clerk and by diligence and thrift he engaged in business for himself opening a store in Hooper, Town of Union. From the beginning he made a success of the business and was a resident of Hooper and had much interest in it's affairs. He married in Elmira, NY June 8, 1987, Isabelle English, daughter of James and Elizabeth (Beck) English.

Furry, Edward B.
Born in West Chester, Pa. Sept. 11, 1884 son of Thomas F. and Agnes P. Furry. He was educated in the district schools of West Chester and learned the trade of machinist and worked for a time with his father . He came to Union where he made his home and obtained a position with Union Forging Company . He married Oct. 8, 1909 in Reading, pa. Ethel Deborah Ruff daughter of Frank S. and Laura M. Ruff.

Fusco, Gee
Born in Italy May 9, 1876 son of Lebral and Philamina Fusco. He received his education in schools of his native land and learned the foundation of the trade from his father, a gardner. On coming to America, he was equipped with the knowledge of gardening and floral work and began his own business. He had several hot houses and his original area under glass increased many fold. He married Apr. 4, 1892, Mary Butteno, daughter of Michael and Rose Butteno. They had children; Michael born July 4, 1898, Lena born July 5, 1899, Rosie born Sept. 27, 1902, Angelina born Sept. 13, 1904, Libaro born Aug. 2, 1905, Antonia born Sept. 25, 1910 and Lillian born Feb. 8, 1912.

Gaffney, Ray M.
Born in Binghamton July 9, 1885, son of Martin S. and Carrie (Wells) Gaffney. He was educated in local schools and began employment at First National Bank of Binghamton. He advanced thru various positions assuming greater responsiblity. He was director of City National Bank of Susquehanna, Pa. , a director of the Binghamton Washing Machine Company, Bayless Pulp and Paper Company and Russell Auto Sales,. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Binghamton Club, Binghamton Country Club and Broome County Sportsman's Club.He married in 1909, Mary Schlager of Iowa and had children, Miller S. born Jume 12, 1910 and Marie Adele born Oct. 22, 1918.

Gage, Leland L.
Born in Binghamton Sept. 14, 1888 son of Henry and Dora (Hamilton) Gage. He attended public schools of Binghamton and took a special course at the Binghamton School of Business. His career has been identified with A. Roberson & Son , pioneers of lumber and mill work. Operations carried on in a big way and employed over 250 persons. The company was not only known as largest in the area but the largest export trade to New England. He was a member of the Rotary, Masons, Shriners, and Binghamton Club. He married in 1908, Maude D. Hawkes and they had children, Marian D. born in 1919 and Janice H. born in 1821.

Gallagher, John Henry
Born in Boston, Mass. Sept. 20, 1882 son of John Henry and Ellen Gallagher. He came with his parents as a young boy to Susquehanna County, Pa. and completed his education there in the public schools. He worked at various occupations , all of which were connected to public service. Eventually he came to Endicott and became a member of the Endicott police force. He served in the Spanish-American war and married in Union, Hazel West daughter of Linnaeus W. and Leona A. (Hoag) West and had children, Max, Dorothy , Beryl and Beatrice.

Gallo, Nicola
Born in Padula, Salerno, Italy son of Michael and Frances (Acetta) Gallo.He obtained his grammar school education in his native land, came to New York City in 1887. After months of hardship in that city, he came to Glen Falls, NY with a crew sent out to work in a quarry. There he learned the trade of stonecutter where he worked for two years. He finished his apprenticeship in Elizabeth, NJ and came to Binghamton in 1897 with Frank Carlucci who had become the contractor for building the new courthouse. He continued his trade and finally entered the fruit and candy business. Then he was led into adding a banking department in his store for the exchange of foreign currency, sending patrons savings to Italy for them and to purchase steamship tickets.. He later opened a private bank. He formed the first lodge of the Sons of Italy in this area. He married Rediganta Arrigoni, whose parents came from northern Italy to Scranton in 1876.

Gamarsh, Jesse L.
Born in New Hampshire Aug. 18, 1895 son of Joseph and Mary ( Shacket) Gamarsh. He attended auto school in Boston. Making his speciality in automobiles, he located in Endicott and opened a small garage. He added a parts accessory store to his business and a taxi service. He married in 1907 in Brooks, Maine , Maud Dionne born in Canada only daughter of Augustus Dionne. They had children, Roland born Dec. 2, 1909, Margeretta born Mar. 22, 1911, Jesse L. born Feb. 3, 1913, Jack born May 2, 1918 and Bettina Pearl born Nov.3, 1922.

Ganow, Isaac Comfort
Born in Sanitaria Springs Feb. 5, 1872 son of John W. and Sarah (Comfort) Ganow.He obtained his education in the schools of his district, graduated from Bingahmton High and began his business career in the employ of A.J. Watson, a jeweler of Binghamton. After three years he engaged in business for himself, then spent some time in the employ of International Time and Recording Company and Titchener Company. He studied law and afterward established a real eatate business. He married July 9, 1895 Sarah Houghton of Senaca County, NY daughter of Parker and Sarah (Stocum) Houghton. They had children, Martha married Charles Church, Edna and Roland H.

Gardiner, Daniel
Born in Scotland June 8, 1871 son of Charles and Mary (Ramsey) Gardiner. He received his education in the schools of his native land, where he learned the trade of stonecutter. He came to Boston in 1901, afterward moved to Newark, New Jersey, then to Binghamton in 1909, where he formed a partnership with Marcus Murray to engage in the manufacture of concrete blocks. He eventually became sole propieter of the business which is reconized as the largest concrete block-producing plant in this section. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Masons. He married Minnie Doig of Scotland in 1905.

Gardinor, Rev. Robert Elliott
Born in New York City Jan. 13, 1875 son of Rev. William and Mary A. (Ward) Gardinor. He recieved his education in the schools of New Jersey , Glen Falls Academy and took studies at New York Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1906. He attended Drew Theological Seminary at Madison, New Jersey and was a member of the Masons and President of the Broome County istroical Society. He married in 1906 Anna D. Perry of Texas.

Garvey, Anthony
Born in Binghamton Nov. 10, 1864 son of James and Elizabeth (Kileen) Garvey, natives of County Clare, Ireland. He attended parochchial schools and for some time was associated with the Joseph Laurer Brewing Company. He married in 1884, Nora Honan of Binghamton and had children, Grace, Harris G.,Walter A., Olive, Florence, and Louis J.

Gates, Jonas
Born in Castle Creek, NY Jan. 8, 1872 son of Adam D. and Julia E. (Sliter) Gates. He was a prosperous farmer and leader in public affairs. As he grew older, he purchased a farm of his own in Endicott and established a creamery which produced two thousand quarts a day. He married Nov. 3, 1893 at Texas Valley, NY, Bertha Quinn daughter of Russell and Eva (Finch) Quinn. They had children, Bernice D.born Feb. 13, 1899 and Gordon J. born Jan. 19, 1907.

Gates, Harry L.
Born in Cortland County June 17, 1889 son of Avery D. and Ella Gates. He attended the pubilc schools of Cortland He had a natural adaptability of a mechanical nature and moved to Windsor, NY where he established the Economy Auto Company. He had a very modern and well equipped garage connected to the sales room and repairs are made at low cost. He married in Johnson City NY in 1913, Anita Hart daughter of William and Catherine Hart.

Gee, Frank E.
Born in the town of Fenton Mar. 4, 1877 son of Larke Adelbert and Mary Ann (Reynolds) Gee. He was educated in Fenton and followed the agricultural pursuits. He moved to the town of Binghamton. He is well known throughout the area for his real estate transactions and his dependability in business matters. He married in Binghamton June 25, 1898 Ida Sabra Fisk of Bradford County, Pa., daughter of Asa and Caroline (Farr) Fisk. They had children, Russell McKinley born Apr. 28, 1900, Luella H. born June 3, 1903 and Adelbert E. born Sept. 11, 1907.

Gennett, Charles Wescott
Born in Fort Plain, Montgomery County, NY Spet. 24, 1848 son of Aaron and Margaret Gennett. He obtained his education in the public schools of Binghamton and took employment with the Binghamton Savings Bank where he began as a clerk and rose to treasurer. He served on the Board of Police Commissioners and Board of Education and was a member of the Masons, Shriners and the Binghamton Club. He married in Binghamton, Oct.23, 1873, Julia Frank daughter of Edward Y. and Almira (Park) Frank. They had one child, Charles Wescott, Jr.

George, Henry Clinton
Born in Kirkwood May 8, 1893, son of Austin Miles and Kate C. ( Allen) George. He worked with his father in garden marketing with a natural liking for the work, he made an excellent start in the business, increasing the acres planted until he was one of the foremost men in the business. He was identified with First National Bank of Binghamton. He married Sept, 25, 1915, Pearl Isabelle Wood, daughter of Frank and Louise (Paul) Wood. They had children, Ruth born Sept, 21, 1916, Frank born Aug. 18, 1917 and Eva born May 18, 1921.

Gibbs, William A.
Born in Broome County June 24, 1874 son of Ebenezer and Olive (Bean) Gibbs. He attended the schools of the district and learned the trade of shoemaker. He came to Union and purhcased a grocery store and is known throughout Union for his geniality. He married Apr. 30, 1920 in Union, Hattie Nichols daughter of Harvey Nichols. William had a son by a former marriage, Clyde Gibbs.

Gifford, Estelle (Allen)
Born Feb. 3, 1856, daughter of Francis B. and Harriette (Pulver) Allen. She attended public schools of Union, graduated from Binghamton High and became a teacher at Pine Street school. When she retired she was principal of Washington Sttreet school. She married Dec. 22, 1914 at Baltimore, MD Clyde Gifford of Easton, Washington County , NY.

Gilbert, George
Born in Binghanton Sept. 27, 1874 son of Henry and Maraget A. Gilbert. He spent age 8 thru 12 in grade school, age thirteen as a messenger boy, age fourteen as a telegrapher and age sixteen as a lineman and at seventeen in charge of thirty miles of line for Postal Telegraph Company and later code telegrapger for the Binghamton Republic Newspsper. In 1905 he became editoral writer for the Binghamton Press and served as editorial chief for many newspapers including the Binghamton Press, Binghamton Herald, Ithaca Herald, Ithaca Journal and Ithaca Weekly Chronicle. He was a member of the Mason and Author's League of America. He married Jan. 17, 1900, Estelle M. Miller daughter of Jacob and Agnes Miller. They had one son, George Miller.

Giles, John A.
Born in Albany, NY Apr. 21, 1876 son of Gilbert and Mary A.(Jones) Giles. He received his education in the schools of Binghamton and entered Union College graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. His early experiences included the employ of the United States Government, Delaware & Hudson Railroad and Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. He came to Binghamton in 1909 and was appointed commissioner of public works. In 1919 he formed a partnership with Robert B. Hoadley and opened offices in the Phelps Building, carrying on the line of civil engineering. He was a member of the American Society of Engineers, Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, Elks, Masons and Kiwanis Club. He married in 1904, Anna F. Behrens of Illinois and they had children, Gilbert B. born 1904, Henry H. born 1908 and John A. Jr. born 1919.

Gillen, Fred J.
Born in Oswego County Dec. 19, 1882, son of Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Carroll) Gillen.He attended public and parochial schools. He accepted a position with Naylor's , large importers of iron, of Wall Street and while in New York became interested in the theater and traveled with theatricals. He came to Binghamton in 1919 and was made maganer of the Kodeco Reality Company and later became associated with the Fair Store. e was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, Elks, Knights of Columbus and the Broome County Sportsmans Club. He married Roberts E. Wright of Oneonta, NY in 1910.

Gilmore, Alvin Leroy
Born Keen Mills, New Hamspshire Sept.. 8, 1878, son of Augustus R. and Clara B. Gilmore. He completed his education in Bath, Maine and entered the University of Maine, and Cornell University in NY . He was employed by the Bath Electric and Gas Company and later for the Maine Coast Navigation Company and Kennebec Steamboat Company. He became engineer for Kelley & Kelley in New York City and president of the Binghamton Engineering Company. He was a member of the American Society of Engineers, American Association of Engineers and the the Engineering Society. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Shriners, Rotary Club, Masons and Kalurah Temple.

Glazier, Raymond Alexander
Born in Cambridge, Mass. May 24, 1896, son of George M. and Lillie (Nichols) Glazier. He attended the public schools of Salem, NY, graduated from Binghamton High in 1914. and was a student at Oneonta Normal. He became his father's assistant at the Hotel Georgianna. He enlisted in the United States Navy and received training at Harvard University and was assigned to different ships laying mines between Norway and Orkney Islands. After the death of his father , he became manager of the New Georgianna Hotel. He was a member of the Elks and was unmarried.

Goff, George Sly
Born in Cammeron, Steuben County, NY Jan. 26, 1878, son of Hiram S. and Mary Sophia (Woodworth) Goff. After completing his education in the public schools, he began to make his own way in the world and through his fathers connections with the Standard Oil Company, he turned his attention to this work.He was appointed to superintendent. He married May 22, 1901 in Rathborn, NY, Georgianna Harrington, daughter of Washington and Sarah E. (Smith) Harrington. They had children, Irene Woodworth born June 29, 1902 and Hiram born Oct. 6, 1907.

Golan, William J.
Born in Conklin Aug. 22, 1887, son of William and Eunice (Murphy) Golan. He attended Lowell School and assited his parents on the farm, which became one of the largest in the area, consisting of 410 acres. He married in Binghamton Apr. 30, 1912 Jane E. Farrell, daughter of Lawrence and Maria (Haher) Farrell. They had children, William born Feb. 2. 1913, May born May 2, 1914, Mary born Nov. 17, 1915, Eunice born Dec. 19, 1916, Agnes born Sept. 18, 1918 , Daniel born Aug. 2, 1920 and Jane born June 7, 1922.

Goodell, Menzo W.
Born in Otsego County, NY Jan. 26, 1863, son of John M. and Jane (Spafford) Godell. After completing the usual public school curriculum, he attended Hartwick Seminary and became a partner in Peter E. Hummell & Company, cigar manufacturers. He sold his interest in that business and purchased the Hamilton House, a hotel in Stamford, NY, of which he was propieter for the next five years. He then sold the hotel and returned to Peter M. Hummell & Company as a traveling salesman. In 1901, he came to Binghamton started a small business as a wholesale cigar distributor. He was a member of the Masons, Elks and Shriners. He married in 1884, Cora A. Salisbury of Worcestor, NY and had one child, Bess.

Goodrich, C. Orlo
Born in Otsego County May 18, 1882, son of Calvin O. and Jeanette A. (Shute) Goodrich. He received his education in the public schools of Ostego County, after which he entered the employ of Smith-Kinney Company, Inc., one of the largest producer of work clothes in the state. The business later moved to Binghamton and Mr. Goodrich was made secretary and treasurer. He married Oct. 25, 1905, Minnie Fisher of Harpersville, daughter of Adelbert and Clara (Barnett) Fisher. They had one son,Calvin Orlo, Jr. born Sept. 9, 1922.

Grace, William Patrick
Born in Binghamton June 23, 1895, son of Michael Francis and Mary Elizabeth Grace. He was educated in the Binghamton public schools. He began a career in the hotel business with a position at the Arlington Hotel, serving some time with the Knights of Columbus workers in United States Army Hosiptals during the war, he returned to the Arlington Hotel . He was made assistant manager of the Hotel Ansonia in NewYork City, the fourth largest hotel in the world at that time. He was a member of the New York and New Jersey hotel Association, Elks and Knights of Columbus. He married in Susquehanna, Pa., Oct.12,1920, Margaret E. King, daughter of Michael Henry and Ida Mary King. They had one daughter, Mary Jean born Oct. 21, 1921.

Born in Binghamton Aug. 6, 1878, son of Almeron and Kate Green. He attended Binghamton public schools, Columbia University School of Law and was admitted to the bar 1902. He began his career in the practice of Roger Wales and Frank Waldron. and later practiced independently. He was appointed attorney for the County Treasurer. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Kiwanis Club, Binghamton Country Club and Order of Red Men. He married in Binghamton Nov. 10, 1907, Elizabeth M. Lester, daughter of Richard W. and Josephine W. Lester.

Greene, Urban S.
Born in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama Sept. 23, 1893, son of W.H.C. and Emily F. (Phillips) Greene. He received his education in the public schools of his native place, in the Washington School of Accounting and passed the State board of examinations in Indianna and Alabama, becoming a certified public accountant. He located to Binghamton and formed a partnership with J.B. Hein to become known as Hein & Greene with offices in the O'Neil Building. He was a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Society of Cost Accountants, the American Instutite of Accountants, Masons, Chamber of Commerce and the Shriners.

Gregory, Jay Lamont
Born in Broome County Aug.12, 1877, son of William M.and Laura A. Gregory. He obtained his education in the schools of Deposit and entered Syracuse University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then went to Syracuse Law School , graduated with a Bachelor of law degree , admitted to the bar and came to Binghamton in 1902 and associated with the firm of Jenkins & Page. He became identified with Security Mutual in a legal capacity. He was a member of the Masons , Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. He married in Allegany County 1905, Maude M. Kaufman and had children, William B. born in 1907 and Janice born in 1914.

Grippen, Earl John
Born in Vestal July 7, 1888, son of Norman and Georgianna (Landon) Grippen. He attended the public schools of Vestal and became superintenident of the Endicott Water Works. He married June 1, 1914 in Endicott to Mamie Carrig, daughter of Timothy and Mary Carrig. They had children, Dorothy born Oct. 16, 1915, Marjorie born Jan. 19, 1917 and Jeanette born Jan. 25, 1922.

Grubham, C.E.
Born in Frankiln Forks, Pa. Dec. 1, 1882, son of Albert Lyman and Josephine (Cogswell) Grubham.After finishing his schooling he served an apprenticeship in the carpenters trade. Sometime later he acquired a farm and continued both occupations. He married Dec.1. 1915 at Montrose, Pa. to Leah Weston daughter of Edward Leland and Sarah (Adams) Weston. They had children, Francis born Dec. 19, 1916 and Harold born May 13, 1919.

Gruver, Stanley Morris
Born in Roaring Branch, Pa. Apr. 1, 1878, son of Joseph J., Jr. and Isabel (Morris) Gruver. After completing the schools of his district hometown, he worked with his father serving as an apprentice in the carpenters trade. He moved to Endicott and began a business of his own, building homes and in a few years found himself firmly established in the business. He was a member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and Shriners. He married in Morris, Tioga County , Pa. Sept. 30. 1879 to Emma Jane Parker, daughter of Ellis M. and Lucy (Neal) Parker.
