from "Revolutionary War Soldiers of Broome County".
Isaac Terry born Oct.16, 1755, died in Harpersville, NY Apr.1845, belonged to a Militia Company under Capt. Jenny in Col. Claghorn's Regt. from which he was drafted in June 1776 into a Company of 50 Minute Men who wore helmets inscribed "in defense of liberty". He removed in 1780 to Long Plains, Mass. He rendered military duty in watching and guarding the harbor, arresting Tories, and in several skirmishes with parties molesting the coast for plunder. He wa part owner, had a cargo burnt valued at $700.00 and other losses amounting to $2000.00. He removed to Butternuts , Otsego County, Ny , in 1832 he was living in Colesville, Broome County, NY. He was a blacksmith. John O. Terry 1838-1842

The following is information is from Becky Wylie:
I see your newest information in the geocities site, very nice to see some more of the Wylie info in a Broome County site, but the Wylie info in the "Bits & Pieces" that I am looking at is the cemetery record of John W. Wylie & Lucy Porter Wylie, his wife, as well as William H. and Electa Dutcher Wylie; all buried in Coventry Cemetery, (aka Union) on RT 206, and this is NOT the John Wylie who settled in North Colesville in the early 1800s. Immediately following the cem. records, you have uploaded the 1825 (1855) Colesville census, which is John & Esther Hinckley Wylie and their family. So, that should be noted someplace--so as not to confuse the two, John & Esther Wylie are buried in the Wylie Cem. RT 235, Coventry, as well as 2 of their sons, Burton L. & Amelia Wylie, and Floyd & Julia Babcock Wylie. Their youngest son, James W. Wylie & wife, Lavinna Riley Wylie are buried in Harpursville's Riverview Cem. on RT 7. John Wylie who settled in N. Colesville, he is an uncle to John W. Wylie of Coventry. John Wylie of N.
