Jeremiah Barnes b. July 6, 1767, d. Feb.16, 1839 at Virgil, NY. He married Apr.16, 1793, Elizabeth Reeves, dau of Elijah Reeves. They had 16 children of their own and raised 2 sons of Thomas , their oldest son. In his will he mentions grandson Jacob and sons Hala, Jeremiah, Washington, and Elijah; daughters Susan Gray and Elziabeth Carley. Elizabeth married Orrin Carley, Sr.
