Last Years Trans Truck is still in Africa and we met up Face to Face in Uganda.. Graham was reminicing over his 2 trans trucks!!
We Headed to the source of the White Nile.. in our travels we have found both the sources of the Blue and White Niles, and the point where they meet (Khartoum).. and on a separate trip we trvelled down the egyptian nile on falucas!!
The group wnet white water rafting and had some fun
One of the Things about this part of the world is you can cross the Equator in so many different ways.. walk, by truck, swim and even sleep on the equator..... porridge at 0 degree's.
We decided to checkout the chimpanze santuary on "Chimp Island" where Nicolas Lindhurst ( AKA Rodney from Only fools and Horses) did some filming when the orphanage was setup a couple of years ago.
We Then headed further south into the rowenzori mountains and the Vulcan Massif. to trek the Mountain Gorillas
We trekked for over 2 1/2 hours and managed to get close to them
The Next day we headed over to the Border with he DRC Democratic Republic of the Congo ( formally Zaire) we didnt cross over Honest !!!
