Jordan (continued)

Our journey reached one of the main Highlights as we went into the Lost City of Petra, used in the Tale of Indiana Jones and rediscovered by a Swiss Archiologist early in the 20th Century.

The Valley it self was covered in a thick fog which added to the Mystery

We discovered 2 routes into the City, following in the footsteps of many other we went down the main route and right left the Eastern route via the Canyon till the next day.

After a sneak view of what was to come we then found the Treasury!!!

From Inside the Treasury you can see the Small Siq or Canyon that leads to the site.

Then as we move onwards we discovered the Ancient amphitheatre it was huge, and even more stunning when you think it was cut out from the bed rock!!

We followed the route through the site and cought a few interesting shots.

On the top of one of the hills is the Temple called the Monestry.. it seems that the builders understood the exact principle of perspective..

we climbed around the side and onto the top the Small Bowl shaped sculpture that seems so small was massive up close and the view down was stimulating to say the least

So we moved on after Petra in awe of the people who built and lived here......

Go onto Wadi rum.
