Dear Porkers,

            Someone within the Pork fold needs to get a request out to the rest of you, and you'll see his message below.  This happens every year, and you veterans know that we have published a few Pork Classified Ads every June in our email updates leading up to RAGBRAI.  Topics of Pork Classifieds have included requests to share a ride from a major city to RAGBRAI, requests to share hotel rooms before/after RAGBRAI, new or used RAGBRAI jerseys for sale, and other buy/sell types of messages.  We've never published personals, and although they might spice up our cyberlife, we probably won't open that can of worms.

Before you send a classified, you should know that we usually wait until we have a couple of ads to publish together.  You should write the ad as it will appear, including your own contact information.  By sending us an ad, you are giving us permission to publish your email address and/or phone number to our list, which is large.

Here's our first Pork Classified Ad of 2008:

Jim's family needs all of his vehicles at home during RAGBRAI, so he would like to share a ride on Friday, July 18th, from Chicago to Le Claire.  If you have room for him and would like to share fuel costs, contact him at jbmcsh@yahoo.com
