From the diary of Constance Richardson

Monday, September 3, 1934-School started up here (Richardson School, Stapleton Township) with Faye Richardson as teacher.

April 21, 1936 - Ruvie Maude Richardson and John Mahler were married at the Little Brown Church in the Vale.

June 6, 1936- Sidney Richardson was married to Marie Augustine.  They will live in Minneapolis.  Sidney works in a hardware store.

May 13, 1938 - Bought a McCormick Deering corn planter for $90 from Kerstens (Fredericksburg). 

Five percent discount for paying cash.

March 24, 1897 - Lawrence Craine and a daughter of Thomas Richardson were married in this place (Fredericksburg, Iowa) Wednesday by Rev. A. B. Fickle.  (This was Jessie Richardson, a first cousin to Carl Richardson.)
