Richardson-Price Family Reunion's
Reunion's were held between the "old homestead" in Newville, Wisc., and Fredericksburg, Iowa
until 1966 when the decision was made to hold future reunions at Marsden Memorial Park in Fennimore, Wisconsin,
a location basically half way between Edgerton/Milton Wisconsin and Fredericksburg/Alpha, Iowa.
The handwritten record of the first reunion reads:
Sept 2, 1908 - Milton Jct, Wis.
First meeting and organization of the society known as the Richardson-Price families society formed for the purpose of bringing together annually these families.
First meeting was held at J. W. Richardson. The members present:

At the business meeting they voted to appoint two secretaries, one for Wis. and one for Iowa. J. W. Richardson was elected for Wis. and Mrs. Della Herrick for Iowa. They decided to hold their next gathering on the old homestead at Newville, August 19, 1910. /s/ J. W. Richardson, Sec.
Fredericksburg News August 26, 1926:
The annual Richardson reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Richardson northeast of town, Sunday August 22, 1926.
A bounteous dinner was served at noon and all did full justice to it. There were sixty-six relatives and guests present. The following families were present: Paul Richardson, Will Richardson, Geo. Winter, Alec Richardson and lady, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Alton of Alpha. The families of Harry Herrick, D.C. Parks, Geo. Richardson and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Herrick of Fredericksburg. The families of Albert Anderson and Glen Anderson of Tripoli, Mr. and Mrs. Charles George of Denver, Mr. and Mrs. Frank R. Wells of Waverly, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Davis of Tama. The relatives from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. James Richardson and Miss Dorothy Parks of Chicago, Geo. Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Richardson, and Leroy of Edgerton, Wisconsin. The guests were Miss Doris Dorman, of Strawberry Point, the Misses Nellda Davis and Alba Alton of Alpha, and Merle Oleson of Clermont. The reunion of 1927 will be held at the home of Geo. Sherman near Edgerton, Wisconsin.

The twenty-second annual reunion of the Richardson-Price families was observed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Richardson, August 24, 1930, on the W. E. Richardson homestead, six miles east of Fredericksburg. Relatives from four different states were present for the occasion.
We had 82 in attendance and following families were present:

Richardson and little daughter, Marilyn Janet; Mr. J.D. Herrick and Ben H. Herrick of Fredericksburg; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Winter; Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Herrick, Saradel, Dorothy and Billie of New Hampton; Mr. and Mrs. Will Richardson, Alice, Faye, Ruvie, Florence and Ferne; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A. Richardson; Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Mrs. Jennie Parks and daughters Jennie and Idell were brief callers in the afternoon.
One of the interesting features of the day was that four brothers were present, namely Paul, Carl, Will ad George A., sons of W. E. Richardson.
Guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Landon and daughter, Miss Florence, Lawler, Mrs. Charles S. Sanford and daughter Miss Helen Taylor, Chicago, and Miguel Medillin, Detroit, Mich.
Our youngest member was baby Lorraine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Anderson, who was just one month old.
A bountiful dinner and a perfect day made the occasion a joyous one.

From the diary of Constance Richardson.
August 16, 1936 - The reunion was held in Uncle Will's "Cow Pasture" in Alpha. 101 present. Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa represented. None of the Wisconsin folks came. Jim and Delmah (Richardson) were present, and the Gates family.
August 14, 1938 - The Richardson-Price reunion was at the east park in New Hampton, Iowa. 89 relatives present and 7 visitors. Bernice, Pete, Ruth (Schultz) and Bertie Richardson, Bernice's grandmother were here from Wisconsin. Jim and Delma Richardson, LaDonna (Gates) and Frank Andersons were present from Chicago.
August 20. 1939 - Richardson Family reunion held at Janesville, Wisc. About 90 present.
