Family may have first
settled in Fillmore County, Minnesota and then moved to Cummings in Traill
County.
The Cummings area was
quite wild, some buffalo and Indians still around. They were one of the second or third families to homestead in
Traill County. The Lilliberg family
(Elias & Maureen, Edwin, Jerry, Chris, Ole, Hilda & Anna may have been
Johanna's cousins)
Helped build the Great Northern
Railway through the Cummings area and that is was built from the north to the
