"Barya"

"Barya" is a Tagalog word for coins, or change. In Cebuano, we call it "sensilyo, " or "sensiyo" with the same meaning. Having an extra coins in your pocket can save you the time and hassle of waiting or looking for a change in time of needs. "Barya" is very much useful when taking a ride with jeepneys, tricycle, pedicabs for hire, and non-aircon buses. You will realize this comes in handy as well in bakeries, sari-sari (variety) store, especially in places where you are a total stranger, wherein asking for a change of a bigger peso bill is a thing you're uncomfortable to do with.
Whether you are in the countrysides or urban jungles, keeping a few coins in your pocket will spare your day.
