Although our American culture praises and lifts high the concept of individualism, I have come to fully understand and appreciate my dependence upon others for my successes in life. This website is an excellent example of this philosophy. I could not, in anyway, have written this website without the tremendous help of so many. This page is dedicated to them.
Bert Spivey for introducing me to the World Wide Web. Your enthusiasm and love for this technology is very contagious. Thank you for "turning me" on to the Web; and thank you for the internet, itself. Bert was apart of the U.S. military team that developed the internet. He is the recently retired Chair of the Computer Studies Department of
Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe, California. He and his team are responsible for the department's outstanding curriculum.
Deanne Del Vecchio for your dedicated teaching. Your knowledgeable and wonderful teaching style empowered me to write this site. Deanne not only teaches Internet Web Publishing, CPS 165; but she taught me the mastery of WordPerfect. Deanne was my WordPerfect 5, 6, and 8, instructor. I truly believe she knows more about the uses of WordPerfect, than Corel. If Deanne doesn't know the technique, it's because WordPerfect can't do it.
To all the unknown people responsible for the excellent web sites that provided the graphics, sound clips, and C.G.I.s for my pages. Please visit their sites.
Bell & Whistles;
GIFPILE; and
To Geocities.com for providing this Internet space for free. This is a terrific company. They make the establishment, construction, and maintenance of a web site very easy and enjoyable. If you are looking to "homestead" a web site, try Geocities.com first.
To Wilton Enterprises, Inc. This company provided all the resources (books, cake decorating supplies, baking pans, and instruction videos) that allowed me to develop my decorating skills. They are the leading cake decorating experts. I found this company back in 1969; and they have never let me down. If you are not shopping with Wilton now, you soon will be once you visit the web site.
To the authors of my reference books who generously shared their knowledge with the world:
The Gingerbread Book, Ed. Allen D. Bragdon, New York: Arco Publishing, 1984, ISBN #0-916410-08-0; and Eugene T. and Marilynn Sullivan Celebrate! Christmas with Wilton, 1st Ed., Woodridge, Illinois, Wilton Enterprises, Inc., 1982, ISBN #0-912696-21-4.
To Oriental Trading Company. They have provided me with years of catalog shopping at wholesale prices. I have purchased countless figurines, candies, and general decorating items. I can always depend on Oriental Trading Company having the right decoration for any event.
To all my friends and visitors whose input has been extremely valuable in developing this site!
To Liza at Sauder Furniture. This is a great online furniture store. All of my office furniture is made by Sauder. It used to be their furniture could only be purchased through a retail outlet. Now they are online. Check their web site out. The furniture is excellent, and their follow up support is fabulous!
Thank you for spending some of your most valuable time with my web site. If you enjoyed my site or you would like to share a gingerbread party experience, please leave your comments in my guest book. Thank you.
