ah those were the days. hiya! this is a network of sites done usually when I'm procrastinating over some uni assignment. The media is what i love, and i have especially loved old films since i was very little. i believe it was the whole "hilllllllls are aliiiiiiiive!" business that got me started. also, as a ballet dancer in my childhood and a current percussionist i have always identified with rhythm, thus the magneticism of tap dancing and dancing in general- the legendary dancer eleanor powell once said that "tap dancers are only frustrated drummers", and i don't disagree with that. in my case, it's the opposite: drummers are frustrated tap dancers only we cannot dance and so we make rhythm with our drumsticks, hands, pedals and whatnot!
"We have all the action heroes and Method script-chewers we need right now, but the Cary Grant department is understaffed, and Hugh Grant shows here that he is more than a star, he is a resource." - Roger Ebert on Hugh Grant in "About a Boy"
feel free to e-mail me at marge dot cheung at gmail dot com, i love to discuss and chat.
Is there something unconciously Freudian going on here? Me in a "Gladys" haircut in 1999, two years before I even knew who Carol Haney was.
