CORD-LIKE ANOMALY
Truely bizarre, cord-like thing that is transparent and passes through itself.

These images were resized but not lightened.

Looking at this picture, it would be next to impossible to tell that it was a picture taken from right outside our front door.  The picture was taken at night, but we saw nothing like this when it was taken. Like all of the other pictures, the rest of the images on this roll of film were completely normal.

If you will look closely at this cord-like thing, you will notice that some of it is actually transparent.  Notice the two areas where the thing seems to cross itself (on the left and in the middle).  The cuts of the full size photo show this quite well.  The parts actually cross through each other.  Please notice how the "cord" seems to glow or emanate light.

Once again, this picture was taken before my interest in this type of phenomena fully blossomed (actually, this picture along with a few of the others had a great deal to do with my increasing interest in the subject).  I still have no name to place on this.  Cord-Like Anomaly is the best I could come up with.

Imagine my excitement when I stumbled across another picture that has this same type of formation in it!  It use to be on the "International Ghost Hunters Society" picture page but they have recently changed their format and you now have to pay to see most of their pictures.  I can't say if the picture is still there - I have not subscribed to their service.  For those of you that might be interested, the picture was titled "Grenadier Pub Ghost."

Note:  In Jan 2001, a reader sent a picture in that has this same type of cord in it.  I was delighted when I received permission to add it to my Readers Contribution section.  If you would like to take a look at it, please click here or go to the Readers Contribution page.
