Marie's space
| Monday July 7, 2003 10:40am I had a great weekend. On Saturday, Wayne and I went up to O'Reilly's in Lamington National Park to go for a bushwalk. It was great. We went on a 6km walk (as we had to have enough time to make it back for church) that ended at a lookout with a gorgeous view of the valley. We also went on the tree-top walk, but never fed the birds. This morning, I traced a burda magazine pattern for a handbag with a built in handle. I can't wait to see if it looks alright made up, as I saw some leather hides in Spotlight on Friday that would make a funky handbag. I may make it up in some pink cotton/linen, and use two amounts of interfacing since I only have light stuff. I have some remnants that I will probably use for the lining and trim. Thursdaysday July 3, 2003 I felt industrius this morning a decided to make bias binding using some leftover black Viscose/Poly/Linen blend. this fabric feels lovely. I finished the pinstripe skirt by applying some of the binding to the bottom. I also applied the binding to give my black wool blend pants a Hong Kong finish. I will do the same with the black pinstripe. I made metres and metres of binding. Mum found out today that we will recived a lump sum payment from Centrelink, as well as a small fortnightly allowance, as I am not earning much. This is such a blessing. Plus it is tax time (think returns!). Wednesday July 2, 2003 As I am not working, I did some more sewing...2 more pink tops. I am loving pink at the moment, not sure why. |
