The Wilsons from Balmaclellan, Scotland
								George Wilson was baptized September 4, 1785 in Crossmichael, Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, Scotland. He was the son of George Wilson and Janet McWhay (or McQuhae). On May 10, 1818 at Balmaclellan, Kirkcudbright George married Mary Lorimer who was born in Penpont, Dumfriesshire on May 24, 1799 to Edward Lorimer and Cathrine Dalziel. George and Mary had 9 children: Janet, Robert, Catherine, James, Edward, Mary, Margaret and David. By the 1841 census George had become established as a farmer at Barnhillies in Balmaclellan Parish. George and Mary have living descendants in Scotland, Canada and New Zealand.
