THE SONG OF THE WEEK!!

Well, in reality, we all know I'm too lazy or forgetful or something to actually do this every week. But we can pretend right?? So yes, we all know that I enjoy music. Well, we should. If we don't know that, then we should spend some time in a dynamite factory with matches. We being you of course. So really I am not that naive and know that me and sancho will be the only ones that know this page even exists, but if someone were to stumble upon it that would be cool cause they would get some groovy tunes out of it. That is if they take my lovely advice. And I know they will.... or they should. Be warned then. So here come the music stuffs....

Jan 1st 2003: Well, rather appropriatly, my first song is "Nico's", by none other than the wonderful white guy reggae(ish) band Slightly Stoopid. This is "my stoopid song" according to Babs and so on. These guys really rock. Listen to all their other songs too, because they are really pretty cool. I mean, I know cool, well to one degree or another, so you should listen to me and love Stoopid. "We the ones you call the s-t-double-O-p-i-d, we slightly stoopid baby slightly but not completely..."

Jan. 13th 2003: Uh, can you tell i forgot for a while?? just like i said i would. But now i have another song. "Homecoming Queen" by Agent 51. Scoot was blaring this as he pulled into the Junior Lot today, so I thought it would make a good sng of the week. Other things by Agent 51 are also good. I haven't listened to them in so long. Go download all their music again with me. you know you want to....

Jan. 25th 2003: Hmm, it seems i forgot again, not that anyone realizes that this page exists. right. so the song this "week" is by Beck. but i'm not entirely sure of the title. its the one that goes "baby i'm a lost cause, baby i'm lost for you". you know the title?? maybe i'll go look it up. that wuld be the nice thing to do for you people... ok well not so surprisingly the name of the song seems to be "Lost Cause". its a nice depressing song that has been stalking me and i don't really mind cause its got a nice tune and so on. Now go out and spread the news...

Feb. 2nd, 2003: Well I was in Hawaii so i think thats an excuse for this "week". That and exams, boo hoo. So i am unsure of a song for this week. give me a moment... ok got it. "Paradise" by Green Day. God I used to love this band. Since the 4th grade. Thats been like 7 years. They have gone a bit poppy, but this song is old and fool proof. Check out all their old stuff, and their new if you like, and tell me how much you appreciat all my references.

Feb. 5th, 2003: Ok so Its not been a week yet, but i'm making up for my negligence. the song right now is "Trouble Breathing" by the Alkaline Trio. I think it might be my favorite song of theirs, though i'm not sure, as it is on my hate list. but i do like it. i've been a bit depressed lately and it fits. in an upbeat because no ones like killing themselves or eachother much sort of way. i like it. its catchy. download it. and listen to all the other alkaline trio stuff, just so you know its all about this heavy, so don't go in with high hopes.

Feb. 10th, 2003: so maybe it hasn't been a week. get off my back. i have a song though. this is one that Kirst found me last year or something. Its called "Marilyn My Bitterness" and is by a British band called Cruxshadows. This is definately another uplifting one, as the song is about a chick named Marilyn (ooo la la)who has broken up with the singer and he is sad. But all and all, that only makes it a better song of the week, as i hope he'll miss me now that his bed is empty too. sorry, playing off the song there. right so get the song, love the band, and tune in next week.

Feb. 15, 2003: well i'm going to continue the Marilyn theme. hehhehehe. this song i found after much wading through other random shit by Marilyn Manson. damn that man. haha. so this song is called "Who Killed Marilyn" and its by the Misfits. This one id in reference to Marilyn Monroe, who "died" but they are suggesting the kennedys murdered her. i'm not gonna get into a big conspiracy theory arguement, but i would like to say that its a good song and i like the tune.

Feb. 28, 2003: ok so the song this week is a throw back to one degree or another, and is really very much on the pop-ish side of rock, but i'm in that mood, and its my song of the week. The band is Josie and the Pussycats, from the movie, titled as such, and the song that i'm liking the most right now is I Wish You Well. Its a good song go download it, along with their other 12 songs, and avoid the made up boy band (repetative statement??) songs because they suck. right, have a good "week"...

March 3rd, 2003: it hasn't been a week, i think, so i'm just gonna dd onto the last one. I think this one has personal theme song material. Its also by Josie and the Pussycats, and its called "Come On" and i seem to be in love with it. Love music, love me, love life. (woah, big on the corny factor).

March 12th, 2003: its been a few days, so i have returned. with a song, done by two different people. I'll tell you the people first, just for the sake of suspense. Barry Manilow and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Can you guess which one i chose that these two lovely people have overlapped on?? i can tell you theres more than a few (or at least i think there is) and the one i'm most fond of is "Mandy." Who really knows why, its just a nice song, no matter wh sings it. Well, unless its me and kirst singing it. then you might want to run far far away. word.....

March 16th, 2003: right so i'm gonna quit the bull shit and give you the song of the week straight up. but keep this little incident on the DL. (down low, i had no idea until tennis season. then again, thats also when i learned that freshmen tell people to eat sandwiches. god i hate that girl). right so the song is Cat Steven's "wild World" because thats what i have just decided. Have a good week and please come again.

March 23rd, 2003: Its spring break for us, if you care, and well i'm not feeling the love yet. thats one of the reasons i've chosen an annoying song of the week to torment you people with. The song of the week is "Walking on the Sun" by Smash Mouth. Yes i think that song grates when you listen to it aswell, but i'm in a bitter mood and think that the world deserves it.

March 27th, 2003: So Babs and I bought that 60s Love Songs CD, and I have a new song of the week. "You were made for me" by Freddie and the Dreamers. its cute, believe me. and it has a section that goes lalala. so its a real winner. right.

April 12th, 2003: Its been a while. And that Love in the 60s CD keeps on making my day. So the song of this "week" is "One Fine Day" by the Shirelles. I sing back up (shooby shooby and so on) and Baba does the main vocals (One fine day, your gonna want me for your love). My dad bought a modern version of west side story so maybe after i lesten to taht it will make song of the week. hasta.

April 16th, 2003: so it hasn't been a week. but the song of the week is "Angry Again" by Megadeth. who knows why. well i guess i do. its casue there was an incedent with the laptop, and now i'm on the old computer. and thats one of the songs it seems i used to listen to. freaky, i know. ok and theres another somg too. cause its such a swell week. "Alcohol" by the Barenakedladies. you can all guess why. and p.s. i'm sorry.

May 10th, 2003: sorry the site didn't work for a while and i forgot for a while more so here i am finally. the song of this week is none other than Hakuna Matata by the wonderful Simon and Pumba. Of none other than the Lion King. That was the last professional play i saw, way back in september on school retreat. it was really good then, and the music is still good now. what a wonderful phrase.........

May 18, 2003: well here i am again, with something like a song. its a piece of digital auditory stimulus anyways. this would be, of course, none other than the innfamous Sesame Street on Marijuana sketch that someone did. i find it humourous, and since its almost te end of the school year (8 more days) i figure what the heck, why not. now, back to writing that history paper...

May 24, 2003: Its almost been a week. i turned in the paper. and now in that very same class we've watched a wonderful woody allen movie, "The Front." The movie was pretty good, as far as in class flicks go, and the theme song i suppose, makes this list. "Young at Heart" by Frank Sinatra, who i've heard was a babe in his day. the song is so beautiful, and the lyrics are soothing. i love that song, and babs, and kirst, of course. "you can laugh when your world, falls apart at the seams, if you are among th very young... at... heart..." peace out.

June 5, 2003: Its been more than a week, but its also been exam week and a week of summer, so i'm allowed to space. we're going to be short and to the point this week. the song is "Two Points for Honesty" by Guster. It might have been the song before, but frankly i don't care. Oh wait, theres another. a two for one psuedo week. "She thinks my Tractor's Sexy" by Kenny Chesney. Its country, but its funny. anyhoot, later doodles.

June 15, 2003: Its been 10 days. So the song of the Ten Days this time around will be "The Business of Getting Down" by Ozma. It used to be more relevent, but its still a good song, even if the tune is a little on the pop-punkish side. we'll forgive them, since i think its nice a catchy. Thats all i've got, so later.

July 26, 2003: Did I forget? No, I was leaving you in suspense. Right... The song of the week is Man Overboard by Blink 182. I admit its part of their recent crap rep, but its ok and i like the lyrics. ok, bye.

August 2, 2003: Song title: "Nowhere Man" Artist: the Fab Four (aka the Beatles). Thats all i want to say. the song will speak for itself if you hear it (not all of you will) (this is one of the things i love about the beatles, they wrote it all for the cash, but they did so in such a way that one can place whatever significance one wants behind them and it will work) (i wish i could do that...). later.

August 26, 2003: The first day of the rest of our lives. aka, the first day of school as seniors, finally. so, to commemorate, i will give you a song that is about the golden days we have finally left. "Grade Nine" by BNL. Very good. Also, theres a song called "Freshmen" by someone, i foget who currently, but i'm sure you've heard it. it goes like "ner ner ner ner ner, we were merely freshmen..." right? yeah. ok, i'm out.

September 8, 2003: anything by slightly stoopid. its just that kind of life.

October 7, 2003: well its been a month. the song of the week is "Gravedigger" by Dave Matthews Band. i really like it, kind morbid in a catchy way, you know?

November 6, 2003: Its been another month. i just read over all the stuff. i go on a lot about how i'm depressed. it might be more informative and to the point to just say when i'm happy, which is not now. my think will be uh.... Russian Roulette by the Alkaline Trio. i started listening to them again... uh oh...

April 18, 2004: Its been a while eh? I've been listening to a lot of Disney because of the singing concert. But more that that I've been listening to a ton and a half of music from My Fair Lady with Julie Andrews and Rex Harrison. I don't know what my favorite is. One with a Female part though, so i can sing along. Good night.

Tune in later for another wonderful band and song.
