VMF-214 is now recruiting SERIOUS MINDED, and DEDICATED individuals who want to become one of the best, "The Marines"! We are stationed in the Pacific Theater & our Squadron is currently operating from Munda in the Solomon Islands, (CFS 2). We are carrier qualifed pilots, capable of conducting mulitask missions such as; Air to Air Operations, Air to Ground Strike Support, Bomber Escort, & Combat Air Patrol, to list a few.

If you are not afraid of hard and demanding work, while at the same time enjoying the cameraderie of your fellow Marines, the sense of pride and accomplishment as you become a Marine Aviator, then get off your flight bag and get your enlistment papers in today!

To start the enlistment process, first review in detail ALL the Website pages to make sure you understand what it takes to become a Marine Aviator in VMF-214. (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT BEFORE ENLISTMENT!!!!!!!!)

Now that you have reviewed our standards and feel that you are up to the task at hand, all that remains is for you to complete and submit the answers via email

1. Geographic location and time zone.

2. Zone name and any previous Zone names used.

3. Past Flight Simulator Commands, Squadrons, or Units that you were, or are member of.

4. Your flight experience ( flight sim time) and type of aircraft .

5. Military background, Branch, MOS, and any other military information you think useful. (This is not a requirement to be a member of VMF-214, but this information will allow the Sqdn. Staff to have a better understanding of a new pilots' background as it relates to operations of a military organization.)

6. List those skills that you feel will or could be useful to the Sqdn, i.e. aircraft repainting, mission building, training, administrative organization, website creative construction, recruiting and any other skill(s) you feel that may be useful.

7. What is your motivation for requesting membership with VMF-214, and what are you expecting from the squadron?

8. Do you have both CFS 1 and CFS2?

9. If you were recruited by a member of VMF-214 list their Zone name so they will get credit for your enlistment.

10. Provide your email address. Be advised that this information will be safeguarded and only used within the reqiurements of Squadron Operations. Any misuse of this information should be brought to the attention of the Squadron CO and XO ASAP !!

11. VMF-214 has an age requirement. All members must be at least 18 years old to join, or a current member of any Armed Forces. Provide your age here and be honest!!!!

The squadron recruiter, after review of your request, will be in contact with you within 24 hrs, at which time you will be informed that one of the Sqdn. check ride pilots will be contacting you for a check ride. After completion of the check ride, the check ride pilot will advise you of his recommendation, and that they will be contacting the Sqdn S-3 with that recommendation. (Applicants will be contacted within 24 hrs. by their check ride instructor if they have been accepted into the Sqdn or not) Attitude is what will mainly pass or fail you!!! Upon being accepted into VMF-214 the check ride pilot will become your primary flight instuctor, and that instructor will be responsible for all basic flight training. Upon completion of basic flight training you will then be required to submit a membership request to the Sqdn CO on the Zone at his profile site. This application is required so as to identify you as an authorized member of VMF-214. We are not gamers, we are Flight Simmers, and we fly at 100% settings at all times unless otherwise directed by the CO. If any of the above questions on the enlistment form are left blank your request will not be accepted, and there will be no reply from our Recruiting Officer. If you feel that any of the questions should be left blank type in N/A, but be prepared to justify it if questioned by the Recruiting Officer.

By submitting this application you are agreeing to follow the Orders and Regulations of VMF-214, and are indicating that you have read the complete Squadron website as directed above, (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT!!!), and that information provided by you here is the truth. Submitting false information will result in dismissal from VMF-214.
