From the East

Brother,

...And Hiram said, “Speak to us about obstacles in life” and King Solomon answered saying, “Obstacles are a part of life, no man can strive toward any of his goals smoothly.  When the waters are calm all of us can move forward easily, but when storms strike, obstacles are thrown in our path.  It takes courage to ride out the rough weather, or go around it so we can continue toward our goals that we have set.

Obstacles give us an opportunity to analyze our strengths and weaknesses.  They help us to realize that as Human Beings we are capable of making many errors and at the same time, they give us the knowledge that we can rise above our errors.

Obstacles then, become a symbol of courage, the courage to continue to work toward achieving our goals in life.

Finally Brethren, may God bless you and your family, and bless this great country of ours.

Bless you all.

Sincerely,

Fouad E. Kashouty, Worshipful Master

Brethren, with the Grand Lodge election date coming closer let us, as a duly sworn Freemason, not take this important duty lightly but go out and choose our leaders wisely.  Let us start today with a commitment to continue to promote and demand that only top quality leaders be selected and preside in our symbolic Lodges and in our Grand Lodge.  Let us knock restlessly on the Elected Line’s doors, and demand that they re-double their efforts to take decisive and positive actions, based on a strategic, long-range plan that includes our Fraternities objectives and our members needs.

Sincerely,

Fouad E. Kashouty

Worshipful Master, 2003
