MAHANKAL

This a huge grassy mountain, with long easy ridges next to BITANGAD. It has a good view but there is no water and it can be very hot.

	Reach IGATPURI Railway station.
	Catch a bus to TAKED.
	Walk on a good track of about 10 Kms via MAIDARA, leads to BITANGI village. This village is situated at the edge of the plateau.
	Walk to EKDARA in the north towards PATTA & AVANDH forts or to the south for the SHENIT PINNACLE and then to KALSUBAI.
	Check return trains to Bombay.
