Matheran

A good hill station and a great outing for the family. It is the nearest hill station to Bombay. It is cloaked by shady trees and has plenty of walking tracks. On a clear day the views are fantastic. Hugh Mallet is credited with the discovery of Matheran.

Getting Here :-

Reach NERAL Railway station. There are many ways to reach MATHERAN which is 11 Kilometers away via short cuts.

From BHIVPURI  climb up to Garbhat plateau.  (13 Kilometers)

From CHOWK via village Varosa up Shivaji's ladder (10 Kilometers)

From VANGANI to Porcupine point via Panvel Lake (19 kilometers).

Many such combination are possible.
