ULHAS VALLEY

This valley lies between RAJMACHI and the Karjat- KHANDALA railway lines is the main catchments area for the ULHAS river. This is a trek for the monsoons and is full of waterfalls and plenty of greenery. Do not cross the ULHAS river in the monsoons as the river is very fierce.

Getting here:-

	Reach LONAVLA Railway Station.
	Follow the TUNGARLI Road and descend to the plateau ahead. A cart track leads to the village UDAVNE (13 Kms) . A little before the village (6 Kms) turn to the west (left) and across the nala. One now enters the fort through the ruined walls.
	Descend from RAJMACHI fort and walk along the ULHAS river. Visit KONDANA caves or BHAIROBA DHAK.
