This is one of mightiest forts
of the Sahyadri and it is a must do at least once in a lifetime. The
tableland is almost 5 Kms across. There is a large water reservoir and a
long chain of Brahmanical caves. To the east of the summit is the Bale
Killa with decaying walls and blown up cisterns. There is a beautiful
temple which has a huge carved out room with a ling in the center of the
sweet water pond. Two Kilometers to the north is the Konkan Kada, the view
here is very beautiful and overlooks the Konkan plains.
