This an historically important
fort. Its walls drop 1000 meters into the Konkan. It has a 60 meter high
isolated pillar known as VANAR LINGI (Monkey's point). The
top has five water cisterns and some Mohammedan constructions. The caves
are full of ash.

| Travel by road/bus from KALYAN- MALSHEJ to JUNNAR. |
| Proceed by bus RAJUR, proceed to GHATGAR it is 5 Kms to the top. The path is mostly blown away but has many foot and finger holds. |
| Another easy route to JIVDHAN is from VAISHAKHARE to NANE Ghat. A broken route climbs up the west face of JIVDHAN. The route is a little tricky but short and spectacular. |
