ANKAI-TANKAI FORTS

These twin hills form a part of the CHANDWAD range and are situated about 8 Kms south of MANMAD. It has ancient caves and a temple of Agatsya, the sage who first crossed the Vindya Mountains. Both the hills have Buddhist caves at their base. These were said to be the strongest hill forts. It has vertical wall faces on all sides.
