This region is steeped in the history of the Marathas, the Moguls and the British. Many forts show the scars of battles fought long ago. It has lots of thick forests. Morning buses from PUNE railway station or SWARGATE to WELHE, BHOR and WAI are some of the major starting points for treks in this area. THE BHOR AREABhor is connected to PUNE and BOMBAY by regular buses. It is advisable to reach BHOR by early morning to get further connecting buses. |
