PAVAN KHIND

This is a historic gorge where Shivaji's general Baji Prabhu trapped the chasing Mughal army. It is a small gorge that is 30 meters deep and is an awe inspiring sight to see in the monsoons as four valleys converge in to this gorge.

Getting here:-

	From BOMBAY proceed to KOLHAPUR by Bus.
	Take a bus on the RATNAGIRI road ( via MALKAPUR) to AMBE (62 Kms). Catch another bus to GAJAPUR.
	Proceed to a huge plateau called GHOD UDDANACHA MAL which witnessed the fight. The gorge is a little off this plateau. Ahead are DHANGARWADI and PANDREPANI where buses ply between MALKAPUR to PANDREPANI (15 Kms) and ANUSKURA GHAT (15 Kms)
