Dry bulbs, such as of anemones or ranunculuses need to be pre-treated before being planted.
Therefore, I planted the bulbs in vermiculite at first, and let them absorb water gradually with spray.
Unfortunately, it was rainy seasn in California when I did the pre-treatment in November, and the humidity made it easy for bulbs to get mold. Though I had thought "vermiculite could prevent them from getting mold, in contrast with soil", however my expectation was betrayed.
However, even though they had gotten mold all over the surface, they germinated easily in a few days after being planted in soil, and grew very well.
While the flowers were blooming, they attracted a bunch of aphids, as if the ranunculuses of last year.
Maybe aphids like flowers of Ranunculaceae.

Here is how to grow anemones.
