Charm of Anthriums

Maybe anthriums are popular even in Japan. Their heart-shaped flower-like leaves are so cute. Though numbers of them are grown and even naturalized in Hawaii, their origin is Colombia.

Dividing

If flowering has stopped, it means the container is too small for the plant. Then, transplant it to the larger container or divide the plant into smaller pieces.
To divide the plant, cut the part with a few leaves off with the root, and transplant it to another container.
As a media, green moss is recommended.

They get sunburn if they are exposed to the direct sun. So, keep them indoor especially in summer.
It is favourable to keep them near the sunny window in winter.
