    People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, also known as Peta are dedicated in protecting the lives of animals. They focus mainly on animals in the entertainment industry, laboratories, fur trade, and on factory farms and was founded in 1980. They get their message across through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and direct action, according to its website.

    Last Chance for Animals, also known as LCA believes that animals have the ability to feel pain and deserve basic rights  protecting them from humans. They oppose the use of animals for scientific curosity, entertainment, clothing, and food and was founded in 1984.

    Animal Aid was established in 1977. They campaign against all forms of animal abuse and promote a cruelty-free lifestyle.

    In Defense of Animals, also known as IDA , is dedicated to ending the institutionalized exploitation and abuse of animals by defending their rights. They are committed to ending the terror of animal maltreatment.

    There are numerous organizations supporting the ethical treatment of animals, but these are the most prominent in supporting the welfare of animals.
