Sex, Lies And John Carter

Part I

When Weaver woke up her throat was dry and her head was pounded, she knew that it had to be the result of getting drugged. All she remembered was sitting down to have coffee with Carter and now she was in some really nice bed in what she guessed was his house. She groaned and rolled over looking for anything that would tell her the time but the room was basically empty except for the bed she was on and a table in the corner. She was still in her clothes from work that day so she wasn’t very worried about being raped. She sat up slowly and looked around, there was one light on the ceiling and it seemed way to bright for her at that moment. She instinctively reached for her crutch on the side of the bed only to find that it wasn’t there. She groaned and laid back down resting her face on the cool pillow, she was laying on top of the covers but she wasn’t cold, in fact she was sweating a little. Idea’s started to flutter into her head about why she was there and even though she didn’t think Carter was behind this she knew that it wasn’t normal to all of a sudden wake up in a bed with out an explanation. She thought about how for the past few months Amber and Abby had gone missing, completely missing, almost as if they had vanished with out a trace. Of course there were people looking for them at first but as they passed the six month mark they were assumed dead, that was if they hadn’t started a new life somewhere else. She suddenly heard someone at the door to the bedroom and the door unlocking. She turned her head feeling very anxious to see who was about to come in to greet her. The door opened a crack at first to let in some more light which only cause Kerry’s head to pound more and she groaned a little and put her arm up to shield her eyes. The person came through the door and closed it behind them.

“Kerry,” That voice was so familiar but her brain couldn’t put a face to it and she finally lowered her arm to see who it was. To her surprise it was Amber standing there in a tight leather dress and knee high black boots and even though the position Kerry was in was rather unusual and probably dangerous she couldn’t help thinking about how hot Amber looked, “Welcome to John Carter’s estate.” Her voice was hallow she seemed like she was in a little daze her voice was soft and kind but at the same time it seemed like she was in a trance.

“Amber?” Weaver whispered and then she sat up and swung her legs over the bed, her head was still pounding but she was more worried about talking to Amber then how she was feeling physically, “You’re alive.”

“Yes.” Amber walked over to her and pulled out a pair of handcuffs, “Please turn around and try not to struggle.”

“What?”

“Please do as I say or I will have to hurt you.” Her voice remained the same tone as it had when she first came in but in that way it seemed all the more creepy. Weaver took a deep breath and turned so she was kneeling on the bed with her hands behind her back. Amber moved in an latched the cuffs tightly over each of her wrists and then took a step back. “You can walk with out the crutch right? John said you could but you would be slow.”

“What the hell is going on here?” She pulled at the cuffs wishing that she wouldn’t have given into Amber so easily, “Is John the one behind this?”

“Stand up please.”

“NO! I WANT ANSWERS!” She turned to look at Amber who blinked a few times before backhanding Kerry, not as hard as she could, but hard enough to get her point across. Weaver’s head turned with the force of the blow and her head lowered slightly as she felt tears spring to her eyes. Amber grabbed her by her forearm and in an amazing show of strength she pulled Weaver to her feet and turned her towards the door. Weaver had no idea that Amber was that strong, but now she had that to consider and she guessed that she wouldn’t be fighting her off any time soon. She helped support Weaver with a firm grip on her arm as she walked her towards the door.

“Master Carter and Mistress Lockhart would like to see you.” Amber said as she pulled open the door and forced Kerry out into the hall with her. Kerry couldn’t believe what she was hearing, and she figured that this just had to be some sort of crazy dream, how could this possibly be happening to her? She was forcing herself not to cry she wasn’t going to cry it would only make her seem weak. She remembered how attracted she had been to Amber when they were working together, and she also remembered how she was about three seconds away from asking Amber out before she disappeared and now she was here and alive but Kerry couldn’t think of anything to say. Amber walked with her slowly down the hall, it was really tiring her our to limp down the long hallway with out any other support then the grip Amber had on her arm.

“Carter and Abby? They are doing this?”

“Yes they are.” Amber’s voice still didn’t change from the soft trance like state it was in and this was beginning to frustrate Weaver. “They spared my life and if you are good they will spare yours.” Weaver shook her head slightly as if to clear it, now she knew that she had to be dreaming. She then stumbled forward because her knee wouldn’t lock and she fell, she was surprised that Amber had let go of her instead of holding her up. “Get Up.”

“I don’t think I can…”

“GET UP!” Amber grabbed her by her hair and slowly lifted her to her feet, “They are in the room at the end of this hall you can make it, lets GO!” She then replaced her grip on Kerry’s arm and started to pull her forward but this time she wasn’t gentle. They finally reached the room at the end of the hall where Carter was sitting at a table with Abby having what looked like breakfast leaving Kerry to wonder how long she had been out.

“Glad you could join us Kerry.” John said in a voice that was laced with mock excitement, “Did you enjoy your coffee last night?”

“Why are you doing this? What the hell is wrong with Amber? And…” Weaver started to scream when Amber shoved her to the floor rather hard, Weaver turned so she wouldn’t fall completely flat on her face, so instead she landed on her shoulder with a pained whimper. “Damn you Carter.”

“She’s cute when she’s mad.” Abby said and then laughed slightly before picking up one of the delicious looking grapes that were on the table in front of them. Amber stood with her back perfectly straight and her hands locked together behind her back in a standard at ease military position. “What are we going to do with her?”

“I don’t know yet…but it’ll be fun.” Carter responded and then he looked at Amber, “Are you hungry my pet?” She nodded slightly and he motioned for her to come over to the table as Weaver forced herself up so she was now kneeling instead of laying on the floor. She watched as Amber got down and knelt by Carter’s chair and he handed her an apple.

“Thank you sir.” Amber said softly and she looked at the apple, “May I eat it now?”

“Yeah sure why not…I’m in a good mood this morning.” Carter replied and then smiled at Abby who returned his expression with a smile of her own. Weaver arched her eye brows and she was unable to comprehend what was going on. The Amber she remembered had a major attitude problem especially when it came to men, even nice guys like Carter but now it was apparent to her that Carter wasn’t the angel she thought he was. She had to admit that this secret life he was leading intrigued her slightly but at the same time she most definitely didn’t want to be a part of it. “How are you feeling Kerry?”

“Screw you!” She spat at him and out of the corner of her eye she could see Abby move almost like she was about to come over to her and slap her and so she winced slightly in anticipation but the hit never came.

“Hmm, the drug is still wearing off I don’t want to deal with her while she’s irritable like this.” Carter said and then he stood up from his chair, “I’m going into work when I get back I’m going to have to explain all of the rules to you…today is the first day of the rest of your life Kerry.” He nodded in Abby’s direction and then walked out of the room. Abby continued to eat and so did Amber and it continued this was until there was silence for about fifteen minutes. That’s when Abby looked up from her food and over to Weaver.

“Amber dear could you go get Kerry a glass of water?” Abby said to Amber in a rather nice tone of voice, Amber nodded and then got up and left the room. Abby waited for just a moment before coming over to Weaver and getting down to release her handcuffs. “Oh god you are the first normal person I’ve had contact with in months.”

“What the hell is going on here?”

“I don’t know, there’s something wrong with him it’s like he just…snapped.” Abby explained and she helped Weaver up and walked her over to the table and sat her in one of the chairs, “Amber is totally messed up he has her on some kind of drug but he won’t tell me what it is…but I can tell you if she knows I’m talking to you like this she’ll tell him.”

“Well no shit there is something wrong with him!” Weaver said in a hushed but harsh whisper, and Abby took a deep breath and let it out slowly, “Why aren’t you like Amber? Why isn’t he drugging you?”

“Because I decided to play along with it to avoid getting beat up.” Abby replied and she reached for her glass of orange juice and took a long drink, “Amber was very stubborn and after watching what she went through with him I just knew I wouldn’t be able to survive that.”

“Well what are we supposed to do? Do you think I should just go along with this too?” Weaver replied and she picked up an apple and took a bite out of it, “I mean is there anything we can do?”

“The phones are all locked with a security code and so are all the doors, not to mention the fence which is six feet tall and electrified.” Abby muttered before she ran a hand through her hair and then pulled a cigarette from her pocket and lit it, “The only thing I can think of is taking him down…physically.”

“Well gee Abby…do you think any one of us is strong enough to do that? Even with the both of us together I highly doubt…”

“I know, that’s why we need to get Amber back she’s a fifth degree black belt but,” Abby took a long drag from her cigarette and then exhaled it slowly, “She sleeps in the room with us and…well it’s less like a sleep and more of a meditative state, she keeps her eyes open. At first I thought it was just something to scare me but if I move even just to turn over her eyes follow me.”

“If she’s a fifth degree black belt she could take both of us down with out even breaking a sweat. How are we going to get her to snap out of it?”

“Well that’s where you come in…you need to distract Carter so I can switch the drugs so he is only injecting her with a saline solution but there are two problems that come along with that.” Abby took another hit from her cigarette, “One is he keeps the drugs locked up, I know the combination but they are still a pain to get too, secondly you are going to have to keep him busy for quite a while for me to do this.”

“Wait a minute…” Weaver swallowed what she had in her mouth, “Why do I have to distract him.”

“Do you think he’s going to let you walk around this house with out supervision? Besides you don’t know where anything is and you can’t run.” Abby explained and Weaver knew she was right but she was beginning to wonder what distracting Carter might actually entail. She put her hands to her face and rubbed her eyes slightly and then looked up at Abby.

“Why don’t you just do it when he’s not home?”

“He has security monitors in every room he will receive an automated phone call if I enter that room, on his cell phone. When he is here he turns the message system off and if you are distracting him he most certainly won’t be worried about what I’m doing.” She replied before snubbing her cigarette out in a near by crystal ashtray.

“What kind of distraction do you have in mind?” Weaver asked but then there was a noise of a door opening and footsteps in the hallway/

“She put a sedative in your water get back on the floor now.” Abby commanded in a urgent but soft tone of voice, Weaver didn’t question it she knew that Amber could take them both down in an instant and if they wanted any chance of escape then she was going to have to do what Abby wanted. She got down on the floor and Abby put the handcuffs on her but not as tight as they were before, “You are going to fall asleep again and you probably won’t wake up until Carter gets back but remember do what ever it takes to distract him.” She whispered into Weaver’s ear before she went back and sat in her chair, at the last moment she reached over the table to the apple Kerry was eating and took a bite out of it herself, she certainly didn’t want Amber to know that she had been letting Kerry eat. Amber stepped into the room and looked around, after deciding that there was nothing suspicious about the current scenery she walked over to Weaver who was kneeling on the carpet in the same spot she was before. She got down and brought the glass of water she was holding to Weaver’s lips.

“Drink.” Amber said, finally Kerry was able to look into her eyes only to see they were glazed over and her pupils were a little more dilated then they should be. She didn’t know if she wanted to pass out again but at the same time she didn’t want to take her chances with Amber so she opened her mouth. Amber gently tilted the glass forward and Weaver started to drink, she was amazed at how thirsty she actually was she didn’t even feel thirsty till the water hit her tongue. Finally Amber pulled the glass back it was still half filled with water but the sedative was already kicking in…and Weaver’s eyes began to droop. She opened her mouth in a yawn and then gently lowered herself to the floor letting sleep overtake her body once again.
