Summery: After an explosive fight, Obi-Wan storms off broken hearted and leaves Qui-Gon's world in shambles. Both struggle to come to terms with what's happened and the "deeper meanings" behind Qui-Gon's dream of Xanatos.
Qui-Gon's meditations on this have left him with the sinking suspicion that Xanatos is behind everything. Now Qui-Gon can no longer sense Obi-Wan's force signature and Obi-Wan has been captured!

Qui-Gon's POV:
'Calm yourself, calm yourself,' I warned myself, 'you're no good to anyone if you're running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Breathe' It was a slow process, but eventually I was able to calm myself.
I reached out to the Force; I reached out looking for Obi-Wan and Xanatos.
I was instantly worried. "Where has Obi-Wan gone?" 'Left the planet, why?' I shook my head in disbelief, 'but if he left I would know. I would still be able to sense his... His, his force signature, where is it!? "I can't sense him at all!" I said as my thoughts became frantic, but I somehow managed to keep my voice down.
"Calm, calm!" I scolded myself with a whisper, "You are NO good to him or yourself like *this*." I struggled against my growing anxiety, trying to centre myself again.
'Find your quiet place,' I told myself as if I were directing a youngling fresh out of the crèche. 'Relax, action without knowledge is useless and speed without insight is dangerous. Get a hold of yourself Jinn.' I took several deep breaths and closed my eyes. Slowly I found my calm centre. Opening my eyes I looked around and reached out to the force. 'At the very least I can find Xanatos,' I told myself. I took my communicator out of one of my belt pouches and clicked it on. I punched in the Councils frequency. "Jedi Temple, Council's office; Padawan Falthar speaking," my call was promptly answered.
"This is Qui-Gon Jinn," I answered in a hushed voice dialling down the volume, "Please inform the Council that I have lost... Correction, I can no longer sense Obi-Wan Kenobi's force signature, at all. Tell them also that I have picked up Xanatos's signature and I am in pursuit. You can contact me at this frequency, I'll check back as needed."
"Yes, Master Jinn," came her prompt reply. I could hear her typing in the background, "The Council is in session right now, I'll relay your message as soon-"
"You'll relay my message now," I said pulling rank, "as a direct order from a Jedi Master, and I will take any consequences of the interruption upon myself."
"Yes, Master Jinn," she answered without faltering, "I'll tell them right away."
"Jinn out," I returned my communicator to its place and continued on following Xanatos's force signature.
Two levels down and three hours later I found myself in an old hanger bay. "Sith!" I cursed aloud. 'But they must not have jumped yet... I can still sense Xanatos is close to Coruscant.'
I ran out of the building and moved up to the top level as quickly as I could. Half an hour later I caught an air taxi back to the Temple. On the way I activated my communicator. "Jedi Temple, Council Office; Padawan Falthar speaking. What can I do for you Master Jinn?" she answered.
I spoke quickly, "First alert the on duty transportation clerk that I will require a small vehicle that can be piloted by one person, with hyper-drive capabilities, I'll be there in an hour. Then inform the Council that I could not find Obi-Wan, but I tracked Xanatos to an abandoned hanger bay in the lower levels. Tell them he's left the planet and I intend to follow. Thank you Padawan Falthar, Jinn out."
I took my time back to the temple wracking my brain for possible destinations that Xanatos could be headed for. No answers, as usual, only more questions, more uncertainties.
