The Advocacy Group is an ACTION committee group created for the purpose of
actively addressing the needs and issues of caregivers and disabled individuals
and is a moderated group. Moderated means that I am involved directly in
this group. Members of this committee can include Caregiver, Disabled and
Professional Members of Heart to Heart.
The Advocacy Group will conduct meetings in the following
ways:
onlinemeeting room
pre-arranged real time conference (in a special area just for us)

Due to isolation and lack of mobility, individuals are unable
to tap into the usual resources available to bring issues to the
forefront. Even something as simple as a petition proves to be a difficult
undertaking.
The Heart to Heart website provides an opportunity to reach a large group of
these individuals thus placing members of the Advocacy Group in the position of
gleaning information directly from caregivers and disabled persons rather than
assuming what needs they have.
Heart to Heart is fortunate to have an individual who is prepared to be an
advocate on our behalf and offers extensive experience in this area.
Our Advocacy
Group will communicate with Heart to Heart members through various venues and
determine what areas need to be addressed.
The following is a list of
positions on the committee to be filled. You do not need to fill a
position to participate in this group but you do need to be a member of the
group. However, decisions will be made by
"board" members only.
If you are interested in joining the
Advocacy Group, please fill out a Board Seat Card . (below)
