Abstract Nouns *an abstract noun names an idea, a feeling, a quality, or a characteristic. Directions: First, choose an abstract noun that you would like to use for a collage (you may choose one of the nouns brainstormed in class). Next, on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper, write your abstract noun in the center of the paper. Last, cut out current newspapers or magazines to construct a collage representing your abstract noun. Minus the pictures, your collage should look something like the picture below.
