Nominative (Subject) & Objective PRONOUNS

Personal pronouns refer to specific people or things. Personal pronouns are used in the nominative (subject) or objective form. Please study the chart below.

As the chart above illustrates, pronouns are used in the nominative (subject) or objective case. The term nominative means that the pronoun is used as a subject, or doer of an action. The term objective means that the pronouns is the recipient of an action. Look at the examples below.

Pronouns Used in the Nominative Case

I detect bitterness.
She and I are in great danger.
They came too early.

Pronouns used in the Objective Case

Mr. C gave me an award.
Who asked them to come?
Give the ball to me.
