Drift I into a love divine,
Free our minds and lend all we are to this love we have found,
This that God has given us, in his mercy is where we now dwell.

As all of life now slips away and we are but a dream in God’s essence divine, Seek we together all that is tender and just and true, Let us hinder no grace, and enjoy what we have found.
Dream I but only God’s light I see,
For you are not with me so I know it must be God, And you his angel, and heaven is where you dwell.
Never shall we be, or touch, or watch each other as we sleep, For I am in this and you are in that,
For you are here, and I am there.

Yet through time your love transcends all I am,
No love complete, where there is no you, And I am not where you are.

Lord guide us with your grace,
In yearning do we find you, And I am not where you are. You who can make dreams fly, and love complete.
