One day a million years ago we found the home of our dreams,
room for a growing family oh how your smile did beam,
It had the look of wood inside how wonderfull it was,
all that I had hoped for, a home with heart and love,

The wind would whistle through the trees, where it was always cool,
beneath those branches childrens laughter after a day at school,
When evening came as a family, we'd sit together and dine,
sharing times we'd had that day then kids to bed by nine,

all that a man could want or need was there for me those days,
now all I have are memories of love that slipped away,
and I have frozen in the cold, and sweat at night alone,
you see it's hard to maintain yourself when you no longer have a home,

I need to find new happiness a new reason to be living,
yet everything I loved in life is gone and not returning,
What a tragedy to be alive no longer with desire,
and see an end to make things right, to rekindle my old fire,

This pain is never ending as one day becomes the next,
no happiness, no love, no life, what a tragic text,
How could this have happened? Only a God could know,
I only wait the hand of fate to deal a final blow.
