Shall we buy something new today,
maybe a yacht with which to play,
how great it is to be able to say,
theres nothing we can't buy today,

then maybe a trip to old Peru,
or the isle of Crete for a sunset view,
oh the things we can always do,
if we've the whim and my boats fine crew,

Yes where to go and what to do,
Then go, go, go
and flew, flew, flew,

And as we ride our heads in the clouds,
never seeing the true destination bound,
the reason beyond all this life of a clown,

Who would have known that I'd be alone?,
I gave you my money and then I gave you our home,
and all I've made for myself is alone.
Lonely to bed and lonely to rise,
yet when I see the laughter there in your eyes,
you it seems are still in the the game,
you go on playing like the score was the same,

It seems only I can see the game through,
and when I recover, yes someday I will,
to do what I tried to do when I was with you,
not only to have a house....but also a home,
with someone I'll love who now like me is alone.
