Carbon Silicon - Music Hall Gig @ The Vic Naylor Bar, Smithfield, EC1M
It was an honour and a pleasure to be invited to the Vic Naylor to see Mick Jones (ex-Clash and Big Audio Dynamite) and Tony James (Sigue Sigue Sputnik) and their new band "Carbon/Silicon" who played a fantastic original set, fused by the blues and the artists previous bands.
The band sound much better live than the demos that the few demos kicking about and the place was packed with a specially invited 200 strong crowd, plus Joseph Fiennes (of Strange Days fame) and the enigmatic Kate Moss who was sat and danced on the bar at one point, managing to sit under the most illuminated part of the venue except for the stage.  If you want to know what she was wearing, you will have to ask my girlfriend, who bumped into her by the stage.
Highlights were the impromtu bongo singalong when the power cut halfway through the first song and the likes of "The Network's going Down" "Niteclub Etiquette" and "Really the Blues", what a great night.  Thanks to all at the Vic Naylor and Tony and Mick for the invite, you made a little punk very happy last night.
